A fireplace that could have easily been forgotten becomes a focal point when framed with lush, thoughtfully layered blooms.
At The Duke Mansion, I don’t just like to decorate - I curate moments that feel timeless, refined, and rich in detail. Through a collaborative design philosophy, every stem, every texture, every placement is intentional.

A night we'll never forget!
The love and joy between Meg and JP was infectious. Witnessing them soak in every moment while we were behind the scenes making sure every detail unfolded seamlessly was the best! From their first look to their final farewell, these two truly lived in each moment - exactly as they should!

Golden Hour, elevated✨
This is what cocktail hour looks like when the skyline becomes your backdrop and every destabilize is curated to perfection.
From signature sips to city views, this moment is a feeling of luxury!
Your invitation is more than just paper, it’s the first glimpse into your wedding day. ✨
From the wording to the colors, the texture to the typography, your suite quietly sets the tone: is it black tie or barefoot on the beach? Garden chic or downtown glam? When done right, your guests won’t have to ask — they’ll show up dressed in a way that feels just right because your invitation already told the story.
Let your paper speak volumes.

In the wake of heartbreaking tragedy in Texas, I’m reminded just how fragile and precious life truly is. Working in weddings and events, I get a front-row seat to the moments that matter — the hugs, the laughter, the quiet glances from those you love, the joy that lives in the in-between, so many lives in one place that will never be together again.
This photo stopped me in my tracks today.
Chandler asked me to surprise her grandparents with a birthday cake, a simple gesture that meant the world to so many in the room. These are the kinds of memories that linger long after the last song plays. Moments that create a depth of sweetness that makes the day difficult to forget. It’s a powerful reminder to pause, slow down, and soak in every fleeting moment… because we never know how sacred the “small” moments really are until they’re gone.

Let’s talk wedding day transportation - a detail that might feel optional at first glance, but can truly transform the experience for your family, wedding party, and even your guests.
While it may seem like an extra expense, consider the logistics first: Will someone special end up navigating parking, traffic, or coordinating carpools instead of being fully present with you? If skipping transportation means added stress or hassle for those you love most, it’s likely not worth the cost savings.
Thoughtful transportation ensures smooth transitions, keeps your timeline on track, and creates a relaxed, stress-free day for everyone involved, just as it should be.
True luxury lies in the details that elevate the overall experience of the day - this one is a no-brainer for me!

Rehearsal dinners are one of my favorite parts of the wedding weekend! It’s the moment where the groom’s personality can really shine, and where I get to lean into his story, his family, and the meaningful details that matter to both sides of the couple. Whether it’s a laid-back BBQ, a candlelit dinner, or a festive welcome party, I love designing experiences that feel personal and intentional.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a full-service planner, I don’t just plan weddings — I craft entire wedding weekends. From the welcome party to the farewell brunch, every event is thoughtfully planned to reflect your story and keep your guests feeling taken care of every step of the way.

Originally from the gorgeous New England state of Vermont, I love Ben & Jerry’s, REAL Maple Syrup, and Cabot cheese on my apples! A lover of the lake, mountains and ocean, I am always up for an outdoor adventure or a quick weekend getaway.
I believe there isn’t a problem in the world that can’t be resolved with some Jesus, champagne, and sprinkles… sprinkles on soft serve or sprinkles on a donut… winners get sprinkles!
My career in events started way back in High School when I worked on the banquets staff at The Equinox, a Luxury Collection Golf Resort and Spa. Despite the long hours, I absolutely loved working weddings and cried at every maid of honor/best man speech (and still do today). I received my bachelor’s degree in Sports Entertainment and Event Management from Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte. I have gained more than 10 years of experience in the industry working for companies within the NBA, AHL, NFL, PGA, NASCAR, and the Olympics.
Combining my love for hospitality, passion for design, and excitement for events, Sarah Duckworth Events was founded in 2018.
There are so many things that I love about my career, but mostly - it’s that I get to work in a growing community that’s all about people and relationships. I love that I get to be a part of such special moments in my client’s life while also getting a glimpse in to their world and meeting their wonderful families. It is such a pleasure when I get to take the reins and manage the details that can easily be overwhelming and stressful so that ultimately my clients can truly focus on what matters - the reason, the love, and of course the PARTY!
I currently live in Belmont with my husband, Markus, and our two fur babies, Leo and Lyla.
