Not wanting a typical seating arrangement? Let's talk about it!When Caitlin said she wanted to recreate the U-shaped table arrangement that her parents had at their wedding many years ago, I'll admit, I was a bit nervous in trying to think through what all that could look like with their 60 or so guest count.
Many involved wondered...
Would the dance floor be easily accessible?
Would this cause guests to almost hide behind their table and not dance?
What will food service look like>
Will the space look massive?
Will the space look filled?
SO MANY questions, but at the end of the day, the shape was important to Caitlin and Preston, they wanted everyone facing in, and so we leaned into what THEY wanted and I am so thankful we did and for how it all came together!
Is this layout for everyone? Certainly not, not everyone will want this and honestly, if we had had another 3-4 guests, it wouldn't have been possible!
But what matters is that this was Caitlin and Preston's day, and THEY were happy!
So as much as we may worry about how things will photograph, will people think this is cool on social media, will my guests be happy or think I'm crazy... all of those questions are normal but the answer should always be, IS IT WHAT YOU WANT?? Your wedding day is for you, no one else!
