Member Highlight: Meet Connie Kieffer! 🌟

Connie’s journey with DSBG started thanks to friends who invited her to experience the beauty of the Garden. She and her twin sister Bonnie have embraced the magic ever since, with fond memories like exploring the Butterfly Garden, enjoying coffee at the Trailhead Store, and checking in on the bluebirds, turtles, and majestic Blue Herons. 🦋☕🦆

Holiday at the Garden is a cherished tradition for Connie, who’s already looking forward to her third visit this year! From the fun of participating in the Scarecrow Hollow competition to admiring the orchid display in the Orchid Conservatory, DSBG has become a place of refuge, inspiration, and endless adventure for her. 🌺✨

You’ll drop your tree off in the same quad area of the Visitor Pavilion where you picked it up. We can’t wait to see our community’s amazing creations! 🎄

It was a weekend of country fun at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden as we celebrated our 25th anniversary! 🤠🎉

The energy was electric as the crowds soaked up live performances by Michael York, Blue Twisted Steel, David Childers, and Blue Cactus! 🎸🎶 With a full crowd relaxing on the Four Seasons lawn, our Lost Hollow Music Festival was a true celebration of music, community, and the beauty of the Garden.

Guests also enjoyed a trip down memory lane with our mini museum exhibit in the Great Hall, featuring retro Garden artifacts and nostalgic video clips from the last 25 years. 📼✨

The weekend capped off with a heartfelt Roots and Rhythms dinner for our Founders Society and dedicated donors. We enjoyed an evening of community, live music, BBQ, and exciting updates from our CEO, John Searby, including the upcoming expansion and renovation of our Lost Hollow Children’s Garden! 👀‼️

Here’s to 25 incredible years of nature, connection, and community at DSBG—and to all the amazing experiences yet to come. 🥂🌿

It’s (almost) the most wonderful time of the year! ❄️🥶

Okay, the high might be in the 70s today, but the colder months are approaching and with the dropping temperatures come our updated Garden hours. Starting this week, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden will be open Wednesday-Sunday from noon-4 p.m. and closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Don’t get hit with the winter blues too soon, though; Holidays at the Garden kick off on Friday, November 29 and we will also be open 5-10 p.m. for our annual holiday lights extravaganza. (Tickets at dsbg.org/holiday!)

There will be plenty of time for holiday fun at DSBG! 🎄🎅🏼

Today is the last day of Scarecrow Hollow at DSBG and it was our best year yet! We were blown away by the creativity presented by our community; it made for a magical exhibit.

We were also blown away by the love and excitement the exhibit generated! Between voting on the website and in-person, we’ve tallied over 2,000 votes so far - incredible!

Winning scarecrows will be announced next week on the website and social media. The winners will be notified before the announcement.

For those who participated:
We will be disassembling scarecrows on Monday, November 4 and the materials will be available for pick up beginning that day from noon-6 p.m. and every day following from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. through the following Sunday, November 10. You can pick up your materials in the quad area left of the Visitor Pavilion. If you have any questions about scarecrow pick up, please reach out to [email protected].

Thank you to everyone who made it our most memorable Scarecrow Hollow yet! Looking forward to even more fun in 2025.

We’re excited to unveil our lineup for this Saturday’s Lost Hollow Music Festival! We’re hosting this festival in to celebrate our 25 year anniversary and hope to bring our community together for a day of music, food, and fun. 🎶🎻

The Garden bars will be open and food trucks will be on site so you can bring your lawn chair, blankets, family, and friends to sit back and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in nature surrounded by the beauty of the Garden as our talented featured bands play. 🌷🍷

The festival is included in Garden admission on Saturday, so members can attend for free! We’ll also have a “mini museum” set up inside the Great Hall of Garden with artifacts from years past to peruse as we reflect on 25 amazing years connecting the community to the outdoors. See you there! 🎼🎤

Jeepers Creepers! 🎃Our 5k and 10k runners had a scary good time on this boo-tiful October day as they hit the trails this morning at DSBG. Costumes were worn, snacks were eaten, and spooky fun memories were made! 🖤🧡

This Jeepers Creepers race was an especially momentous occasion because it marked the longest race ever ran on DSBG property! Big shoutout to our first ever 10k winners (pictured in the last two photos)and all of our winners and participants! It was a treat to spend the morning with you. 🍫🍬👻
