SAVE THE DATES!!! The Community Building's FREE movie nights will return this coming January. Join us on January 16th and January 30th for FREE POPCORN and ICE CREAM as we enjoy two outstanding movies.

Movies and additional details will be posted soon. Keep an eye out on our page for more information. Movie nights are free and open to the whole public. No pre-registration required.

We are very proud of our own Olivia Covert, Assistant Director here at the Community Building Complex of Boone County for graduating Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy at last nights annual dinner! What a great accomplishment! We encourage others to join the academy as it's not only a benefit for yourself but for our community as well. If you are interested reach out to the Belvidere Area Chamber of Commerce for more information on the next session.

Once again this year Zonta Club of Belvidere is selling Pecans as a fundraiser! These pecans are delicious and come direct from a pecan farm in Georgia! The packaging makes for a great addition to any gift basket or to bring to any holiday gathering! Local, personal delivery will be just before Thanksgiving. Thank you Thank you Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come celebrate the back to school season with us. We know the weather has been so unpredictable lately so we appreciate all of our community partners and food trucks who stepped up to give our local students one last party before the school year begins.

Also, a huge congratulations to the Boone County Community Foundation and their partners on the launch of the Boone County Imagination Library program. We are so excited to have this program in our community!

We look forward to seeing everyone at our FREE movie nights in January (dates announced soon) and at our 6th Annual Back 2 School Parking Lot Party in August 2026!

The party is FREE TO ALL (food trucks set their own prices)

A reminder that if weather does not allow us to celebrate outside, the Back 2 School Parking Lot Party will move into the auditorium of the Community Building. The foam pit will not move inside, but we will still have plenty of giveaways, games, community organizations, food trucks, music, and maybe a contest or two!
