TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! Back 2 School Party is from 4-6 pm in the Community Building parking lot! Food trucks, community organizations and a FOAM PIT! Free (except for food truck)!! It's a bit chilly but the sun is shining and after all, children don't care...they just love the FOAM PIT!! Not just for families with children going to school - anyone is welcome to attend!!!

We will see you tonight from 4-6 pm!!

Just a few short days until our 3rd Annual Back 2 School Food Truck event featuring a FOAM PIT! The weather did not allow for a foam pit to be at Belvidere Heritage Days this year so get your fix and join us at the Community Buildings BACK 2 SCHOOL PARTY!! Community organizations such as Belvidere Township Park District, Boone County Health Departmentand the Belvidere Police Department will be on hand as well as several food trucks! And no worries if you don't have a child going to school...this events welcomes everyone! Skip cooking and eat at one of the food trucks and enjoy watching children have a blast before school starts!! WE WLL SEE YOU IN THE COMMUNITY BUILDING PARKING LOT on Tuesday, August 20th from 4-6 pm!!!!

It's that time of year.....our 3rd annual Back 2 School Food Truck Party is Tuesday, August 20th! This is sure to be a fun time for all! Bring a suit/clothes that can get wet and a towel as this year we will be having a foam pit! And of course we will have plenty of dinner options at the food trucks! What a great way to kick off "Back to School"!!!! Anyone can attend....you don't have to have a child going back to school!

Help us close out our 2024 Summer Concert series on a high note! Our final concert will be held Sunday, July 21 at 6:30 PM at Candlewick Lake Recreation Center. The featured band is The Beaux, which offers classic rock hits and has been rated #1 by Reverbnation. Look them up and take a listen at thebeaux.com.

It’s that time of year! Main Street Players Boone of County is proudly presenting our park series: "MSP in the Park", with a performance of: “You’re Driving Me Crazy!” By Todd Wallinger.

Synopsis:

Most people have some funny stories about learning to drive, and driver’s ed seems to add to the absurdity of this rite of passage. These four scenes take a hilarious look at the world of driver’s ed, especially from the instructor’s perspective. In them, we meet:

1) a nervous teacher who doesn’t seem to know the first thing about driving,

2) a teenage girl who brings some unexpected guests to her first driving class,

3) a teenage boy who’s forced to share a car with his temperamental ex-girlfriend, and

4) a teenage girl who can’t break away from her smartphone long enough to learn how to drive.

CONCERTS IN THE PARK start this Sunday June 2nd! The Boone County Arts Council has a great line up! Concerts are on Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. (unless noted on schedule) and are held at Baltic Mill in Belvidere Park. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Rain site is the Community Building. Concerts are FREE to the public.
