Thank you Thank you Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come celebrate the back to school season with us. We know the weather has been so unpredictable lately so we appreciate all of our community partners and food trucks who stepped up to give our local students one last party before the school year begins.

Also, a huge congratulations to the Boone County Community Foundation and their partners on the launch of the Boone County Imagination Library program. We are so excited to have this program in our community!

We look forward to seeing everyone at our FREE movie nights in January (dates announced soon) and at our 6th Annual Back 2 School Parking Lot Party in August 2026!

The party is FREE TO ALL (food trucks set their own prices)

The foam pit will not move inside, but we will still have plenty of giveaways, games, community organizations, food trucks, music, and maybe a contest or two! We look forward to seeing everyone on TODAY rain or shine!

Join Us for the 4th Annual Back-to-School Parking Lot Party and help us introduce Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Boone County IL !!

We’re thrilled to be invited by our amazing friends at the Community Building to take part in their 4th Annual Back-to-School Parking Lot Party—and you’re invited too!

Come kick off the celebration with us at 4 PM, where more information on Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Boone County IL will be announced. The event will include a kickoff celebration, community engagement activities, and information about how to enroll in or support the program.

Boone County is taking a major step to bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library—a free monthly book gifting program for children ages birth to five—to local families. With an estimate of over 2,800 eligible children here in Boone County and a 50% state funding match, this initiative promotes early literacy and will have lasting impacts on the community’s youngest learners.

We’re proud to share that Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Boone County IL is an affiliate partner of the national program. Locally, this effort is facilitated by the Boone County Community Foundation, Belvidere School District 100, and North Boone School District 200. A fund has been established through the Boone County Community Foundation to ensure the long-term success of this initiative. Ongoing fundraising will support enrollment growth and sustain the program. More exciting information to come. We hope to see you Monday, August 18, 2025 4pm at the Community Building (111 W. 1st Street, Belvidere, IL)!
