New Year / New Beginning! We've got big changes and big news in 2025!

Blossoming Businesses!
Beginning today, Flowers by Eryn will take over the entirety of The Bungalow as Casa de Stela is moving to a new location in Downtown Bend. Jess and I are very excited for this next phase for our respective shops. As two local, woman-owned small businesses, it has been so rewarding and meaningful to support each other over the last two years, and we look forward to continuing this special connection even though we no longer share the same space.

Flowers by Eryn will be closed now through the middle of January as we settle into our bigger space. We have a lot in store for 2025 that we can't wait to share with you! Stay tuned for a reopening date and details in the weeks to come.

Thank you Bend (and beyond) for all of your support of our little flower shop. We love connecting and contributing to Bend through creating beautiful things for you and cannot wait for this next phase of Flowers by Eryn.

One last farewell picture of fall before we dive into December.

I'm sharing a close up pic from our Thanksgiving table spent back in my hometown in the Bay Area where we gathered at my brother and sister-in-law's beautiful property. I used foraged foliage, fruit and citrus from their garden (along with beautiful blooms from the San Francisco Flower Market). Just like special food dishes that you make every year to celebrate a holiday, I love setting a table using elements that are special to me and connect me to that season, and the places and people I love. These Chinese Pistache leaves and berries are everywhere in Los Altos and it symbolizes fall and family to me.

I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with connection, beauty, good people and, of course, yummy food.

Happy Thanksgiving Week! We'll be busy today getting all the flowers prepped for your Thanksgiving festivities. We are close to sold out for the holiday, but will have some florals for you last minute folks.

Tuesday 12-4
Wednesday 10-5
Thursday Closed
Friday 9-5 (we'll be decorating for the holidays and have fun little giveaways for anyone who stops by)
Sat/Sun 9-5 Grab n Gos and Stem Bar (1/2 Sundays!)

This week has been a lot. The election results left me, like so many of us, deeply gutted, confused and scared. And, yesterday I attended the funeral of my dear friend's son who, at 18, lost his battle with depression by taking his own life. It's a lot to hold right now all the collective and personal loss, pain, and uncertainty for the future.

But I can't help but feel a sense of steadiness and see cracks of bright light in all of this. I have had many meaningful honest conversations, shared big, long embraces, and laughed through tears more times this week than I can remember in a very long time. When we can be open to share our truths and vulnerabilities, and we just show up for one another, there is so much opportunity for love, true connection and understanding. Knowing and feeling this provides me some solace and comfort in this dark time.

A dear friend of mine suffered an unspeakable loss this week. Something that, as the friend looking in, leaves me feeling at a complete loss for what to say or do. It is also a close reminder that life is incredibly messy and uncertain.

Many years ago, this friend gave me a pocket book of Pema Chodron quotes. I carried it around in my purse for a long time. So today I offer a beautiful, messy picture of the process, and offer this quote from my favorite of Pema's work.

"Things don't really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together and fall apart again. It's just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy."
