Our Story
Our purpose at Kiowa Creek is to provide a place where you are always welcome. Whether you’re brushing up on your shotgun shooting skills on our professionally designed sporting clays course or hunting our game birds, you are assured of having challenging but fun shoots and unparalleled hunting opportunities.
In addition to our unmatched shooting facilities, we have activities your guests and entire family will enjoy. Kiowa Creek truly offers something for everyone.
Sporting Clays:
Kiowa Creek Sporting Club features year-round sporting clays action on one of the finest sporting clays courses in the country. The course is made up of 24 individual stations, and is complimented by a world class five stand.
All target throwers on the sporting clays course are automated with a control system that has a delayed release option for single shooters. This allows maximum flexibility in target presentations and simulation of the most realistic targets possible.
Our course is laid out along a heavy wooded section of Kiowa Creek. You can reach each of the sporting clays stations, by foot or golf cart, on a winding path through the course.
Game Birds
Kiowa Creek Sporting Club conducts game bird hunts six months a year (October 1 - March 31,) providing you with a practical alternative to expensive out-of-state hunts. We eliminate travel time and expenses such as transportation, lodging, meals and out-of-state licenses so you can enjoy a complete hunting experience only a few miles from home.
Across the country, open spaces that were once available to hunters are disappearing, making it increasingly difficult to find places to hunt. With plenty of prime game bird habitat you’re guaranteed the opportunity to shoot pheasant, Hungarian partridge, chukar, and quail that have been released for your hunt. At Kiowa Creek, our hunts are guided and may include one of our professionally trained dogs or you may use your own dog. Either way our goal is giving you the pleasure of knowing that a day in the field will produce birds.
Dove Hunting
Our property has long been a coveted dove hunting site. The fields of sunflowers or milo and wooded creek bottom draw large numbers of dove every fall. As a Kiowa Creek member you will have the benefit of hunting our prime acreage during Colorado’s dove season.
Clubhouse
Our elegant yet comfortable clubhouse will be a favorite gathering place for you, your family and guests. The great room is the perfect place to discuss the day’s hunt in front of the fire, watch television or enjoy a snack after a day of fun.
Dog Training
As a member of Kiowa Creek Sporting Club you will have dog training privileges on club property. This will provide you with the opportunity to familiarize your dog with live upland game birds while perfecting his (and your) hunting skills. We have game birds available for training throughout the year. Please call for availability and reservations.
Archery Range
This great attraction offers a full array of fun and games for archers of all disciplines. The target range has 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yard paper targets. The 3-D range has the full spectrum of life-sized targets at distances ranging from 20 to 60 yards. Utilizing terrain features and obstacles, you can replicate nearly every hunting scenario imaginable. Several of these targets are for use with your broad head arrowheads.
