On behalf of the Marlboro County Chamber of Commerce, we would like to thank everyone who was able to come to Arie's Attics Ribbon cutting. Go show your support to the newest member of the Marlboro County Chamber of Commerce.
Thank you, The Ivy Shop, for providing us the GORGEOUS Bow and ribbons today!
Here's a little bit about Arie's Attic:
Much of my youth was spent in awe of my daddyās creativity. He was an educator by title and degree but a brilliant woodworker and fixer of all things by trade. While he valued the importance of reading, writing, and arithmetic, he was an advocate of the arts and encouraged me and all his students to foster our creativity and put our talents to work in a way that fulfilled our imaginations. As a young child I would draw flowers and animals and my daddy would bring my art to life in the form of a wood carving. He could start with an ugly old log as his blank canvas and end with an ornate serving tray, a beautiful wall hanging or an heirloom furniture piece. When we werenāt collaborating on a wooden project, we were riding bikes together. Just riding and talking, sometimes crashing but then riding again. Memories of those bike rides still bring me so much joy.
As a young adult I was very active in theater and arts and spent my afternoons designing window displays at a local Boho Boutique ā before Boho was coolā¦ again. I have a flair for the dramatics and a knack for turning nothing into something. Itās a talent my dad and I shared and bonded over ā thus the name Arieās Attic.
Arieās Attic is now my blank canvas and I invite you to join me in creating a beautiful space for consigning things that once brought you joy so that they might do the same for others. My childhood bike will be a fixture of Arieās Attic to remind us all to enjoy the ride.
