Starting out in Jacksonville, Florida and continuing on to Atlanta, Georgia. We are once again honored to have been asked to sit at the retailers round table at The Atlanta Market. 🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of Ownership at The Gift Garden! 🌸

Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate 10 years since Beth and Dwain Wilwol became the proud owners of The Gift Garden! 🌟 Established on February 9, 1976, this Main Street treasure has been a cornerstone of the Bennington community for 49 amazing years. Known for providing the freshest flowers, stunning plants, and unique gifts, The Gift Garden has been a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.

For Beth and Dwain, their journey has been about more than running a business—it’s been about creating a space filled with beauty, joy, and connection. Beth has dedicated an incredible 36 years to The Gift Garden, while Dwain has poured his heart into it for 20 years. Since taking ownership on January 8, 2015, they’ve worked tirelessly to curate gifts from around the world, bringing quality products and unique treasures to the Bennington community.

Their love for downtown Bennington inspired them to expand in November 2022 with the opening of The Gift Garden’s Holiday Cottage. This enchanting store specializes in holiday-themed items, featuring beloved collections from Old World Ornaments, Jim Shore, Joe Spencer, and more. The Cottage also carries women’s, infant, and toddler clothing from brands like Charlie Paige, Coco + Carmen, and Mud Pie, with even more to come. Like the main store, the Holiday Cottage offers unique and carefully selected gifts that make every visit a special experience.

This past year also brought an exciting new partnership with the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Thanks to a beautiful new cooler placed in the hospital gift shop, The Gift Garden now supplies fresh flowers to brighten the days of patients, visitors, and staff.

The road hasn’t always been easy—especially navigating the challenges of the COVID pandemic—but Beth and Dwain’s commitment to “Make Hearts Flutter” has never wavered. Their passion for the Bennington community, combined with their mission to create joy, ensures that every flower, plant, and gift brings happiness to their valued customers.

Through partnerships with public radio WAMC and features in multiple publications, The Gift Garden has grown into a destination not just for Bennington, but for people across the U.S. and beyond. It’s an honor to serve as an anchor of Main Street, helping to make downtown Bennington vibrant and welcoming.

As we approach our 49th anniversary in February, we’re filled with gratitude for the support of our incredible customers. Thank you for being part of our journey and for allowing us to share in your special moments. Here’s to many more years of making hearts flutter! 💖

As The year comes to a close, We at The Gift Garden would like to take a moment and Thank Everyone for all the live and Support this past year in making our Businesses so successful. The Gift Garden and The Gift Garden's Holiday Cottage would like to wish Everyone a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanakkah and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
After an Incredibly busy Holiday Season and Many long hour days and evenings, creating many beautiful Floral pieces and stocking our stores with unique gifts,The Gift Garden and The Gift Garden's Holiday Cottage will be Closing early on Christmas Eve, Closed Christmas Day and we are closing Thursday December 26th, so we may spend time with our family. We will Reopen Friday December 27th at 9am at The Gift Garden and 11 am at The Holiday Cottage. We want to Thank all of our Customers for supporting our small local businesses not just during the Holiday season but Everyday. We Look forward to creating many more floral pieces and providing many more unique Gift lines for years to come.

Although we have sold out of our many Holiday floral specials, we did get in a truck of fresh flowers to make any last minute arrangements for you to pick up.. We have been very busy preparing for this Holiday season,Starting off with the sale of 91 Thanksgiving cash and carry centerpieces to benefit The School of Sacred Heart/St. Francis,
Finding Randall the Reindeer a new home in Old Bennington,Making many wreaths and cemetery toppers before the snow, providing comfort for many who have lost a loved one, our thoughts are still with Officer Rob Murawski ,his family and The Bennington Police Department on The loss of Gracie, decorating our windows at The Holiday Cottage and The Gift Garden along with the Giant Holiday Tree at MACC, where the must see musical Annie is playing, filling our shops with Beautiful flowers, plants and Unique gifts for you to choose from

I just picked up my Sacred Heart Thanksgiving centerpiece from Beth at the Gift Garden. It is really lovely. If you haven’t ordered one, it’s not too late. Call her or stop in, she has a few more to sell for $35. And, it benefits our school’s PTG.
