Swank Motorsports, LLC is sad to hear of the passing of our friend, puller, and promoter Donald Swanstone of Dearborn, Missouri. Donald was very likeable person who really enjoyed tractors, tractor pulling, and spending time with his family. Thoughts and Prayers go out to his wife Betty, son's Raymond and Jason, and grandchildren Ava, Calvin, and Landon Swanstone of Dearborn. .

We are asking all pullers to please check their kill switch system to ensure that the kill switch ring is capable of withstanding 35lbs of pressure that would be needed if zip tied in place for competition after the rollover accident of one mini rod in Osceola, Florida. This is a safety measure that will not be taken lightly. This is a proactive approach to the situation before the season starts.

Some people think I'm crazy for trying to same a dying sport. To me, its not a sport...it's a way of life. Growing up its the only thing I ever knew. Some people went camping or hiking and fishing on the weekends, we went tractor pulling. I've seen the countless hours my dad and brother have put into a tractor, tearing it down, rebuilding it, and having it ready to go pulling the next day. I've been around the long road trips to pulls hundreds of miles away just to go pulling and see your friends. Too me it's not about the past or the present, its about the future. If we don't get the youth and next generation of pullers involved in the sport, we will not have a sport left.

To end the rumors going around; NO the Grey sled is not for sale. Don't know why or care to know why MAPA quit using that particular sled. All I know is it is probably one of the best pulling sled around and I'm honored that Jared Austin allowed me to purchase it and get to use it.

Older Style Pull Back Garden Tractor and Mini Rod Pulling Sled. Built by Lonnie Albertson and updated by Swank Motorsports, LLC. Sled is used to pull lawnmowers, garden tractors, motorcycles, 4 cylinders, small block mini rods, and Big Tire naturally aspirated small block mini rods. We added air bags to the back axle to increase the psi to help stop the mini rods without having to add weights. Sled weighs 5,000 lbs empty and has the same chain size as the big sleds. Does not come with any weights, air compressor, sled monitoring system, kill switch system or dually tires. Set up to be NASOA certified and inspected. $6K. PM for more information.
