Hello friends! I have some exciting news!
I want to say a big thank you for everyone who had faith in me in 2024 to capture some moments for you. From headshots, to prom and homecoming, to weddings, and senior portraits. I've done band photos, graduations, maternity, and even some product photos. I have said yes to so much, and had so many great experiences with all of you! Don't worry, this post might sound like it's going in a sad direction, but it's not!
2024 was a year I got to experience some of my greatest highs as a photographer. I also had some of my greatest lows. I discovered what I absolutely love to photograph. I found the thing that has most expanded my artistic vision, and stretched my technical skills the most, and as a gal who is striving to always bring a better experience to my clients, I love the creative control that this area of photography gives me.
I love working with you. I love talking to you on the phone and explaining how I can best serve you. I want everyone to see what I can give them, but I have been limited in how best I can deliver that. So this year, in 2025, I am narrowing down my focus so I can be the absolute best SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER that I can. I am investing in education to hone my skills. I am experimenting in new techniques that will blow you away. I have been hunting for the best products and labs to bring your images to life in your hands and around your home. THIS is what I have been dreaming about for years, and I'm finally got the courage to step out on this limb.
This is just the first part of fulfilling my dream. The next phase will be owning a studio in town so I can have a designated space to provide high level portraits to you.
So what this looks like is that my focus is going to be senior photography and high-end portraits. Headshots are something I have wanted to offer more and more, so I've added a whole new page for headshots to my website. I've also really wanted to dive into fine art Legacy Portraits of our beloved Seniors (the more seasoned variety...rounding out my desire to be the BEST SENIOR photographer of both young and old!)
I have some weddings booked that I am STOKED for this year, but I have taken weddings off my website and I won't be advertising for them any longer, and really only taking on weddings on a case-by-case basis and mostly for people I know well already. I will still shoot families as I plan on offering family sessions with my top-tier collection.
So in the coming weeks and months, this is what you can expect to see from me:
✨The launch of my Senior Influencer Program called The CMK Club where I plan to build a team of teenagers who want the ultimate senior portrait experience where they participate in several content shoots throughout the year.
✨ Senior Sports Sessions where we highlight your teenager's love and skills in sports. Think dramatic! These will be an incredible experience, and I will be looking for some models very soon!
I am determined to make this the best CMK year yet!
