Had a little Mother's Day shoot with Michaela a bit ago. Tried a different editing style. What do you think? Pretty different than what I normally do! Her girls are SO GOOD! Really fun and I'm sure Norah took half that flowering bush home with her by the end of the session. LOL

Attention Mini Session participants! We have a slight location change here at the park!!!!

There’s a party going on right by my tree. So I swapped it for the FIRST PINK TREE YOU SEE ON THE DRIVE IN! You’ll see my black van parked by the security/park workers shed by the entrance.

Hi! I'm still here! It's been a slow build for a busy season coming up, but come April I have TONS of gigs going on! I'm super excited for what's in store, and kinda concerned for my housework 😅.

I had the pleasure of second shooting for a photographer last year. When you second shoot for a main photographer, you hand over your borrowed card at the end of the day and carry on with life. Your obligation is over. The main edits and delivers the photos as part of their service, and they own copyright. But my sweet main let me keep the images to post way after she delivered her final gallery and I just never did. To be honest I never even edited them until now. I had some real beauties in there so I finally got some of my favorites edited to add to my portfolio. I enjoyed working with Mandy with Mandy Lynn Photography and I'm excited to get to work with her again come June! Enjoy some of these photos I second shot for her at the beautiful Dragonfly Venue here in Southern Illinois.

Oh man...How God has blessed me with such great friends and clients! This fall season has truly been one of the greatest of my career. You see, fall is a photographer's busy time, and for year after year I would have no bookings for fall. I'd see the leaves turn, and the beauty envelope me every time I got in my car and drove around. But it was all wasted in my mind. But this year has been different. Oh man...I've wanted to do a beach shoot forEVER! THIS was the perfect shoot. Totally loving the spectators from the boat because they totally added to the vibe for our secluded(ish) beach session!

Who's the best lawyer in Benton? I believe it's this iconic guy right here - Bryan Drew, with Drew Law Group, also welcoming Kate to the law firm with some new headshots.

I had used Bryan for a personal injury matter back when I got in my head-on collision in 2016. He was in his old office then near Rend Lake Dental. I had only ever been in the lobby of his new location on the square. Our appointment began and Christen, Bryan's wife and the owner of Cafe Bloom (also on the Square), suggested we go upstairs to the conference room where there was great light, and beautiful textures in the lovely original brick from this old building she renovated into the law firm.

Ya'll...this is one of the most gorgeous law offices in Benton, I am positive. I was ecstatic to take photos up in that conference room. Now, I know you don't get to SEE much of the conference room in these photos (that might have to wait for an entirely different shoot someday, *fingers crossed*, but the light here was just spectacular. So enjoy these headshots+ of Benton's greatest lawyers.

So happy to share these sneak peeks of this amazing family! Michaela is a dear friend, and wanted updated family photos while her family were all in town to celebrate dear Norah's 5th birthday!
