Thanks Bloodbuzz Entertainment for the shoutout on 2022 shows. Looking forward to what this next year brings.
Our show Thursday closed the 2022 chapter for Bloodbuzz with a bang, but we're looking forward to more great events in Bentonville in 2023! We didnt get to do a lot of shows as we got a late start this year but the timing felt right and was a good test run for next year! We're thinking about what 2023 looks like and who we would like to bring to Bentonville for a show, if you've got an artist you'd like to see and think would be great please post some suggestions down in the comments. Also, Please share this post with your friends and help get the word out.
In review:
August 9th we held our very first backyard house show with our old friend John Calvin Abney from Tulsa/Austin for a solo acoustic & piano set featuring new songs from his fantastic new album Tourist as well as tracks from his back catalog. John's a fantastic multi-instrumentalist, and a even better person who we cant wait to have back sometime. John's a road warrior so hopefully wont be long!
August 27th we got to really pressure test the small backyard stage with a full band rock show from our new friends Beau Jennings & The Tigers from Norman. Could not have asked for a better evening outside to hear their great songs. Beau and his band (Chase Kerby, Michael Trepagnier, Chris Wiser, and Dustin Ragland) ripped through songs from their new album, Heavy Light, as well as some older songs. These guys couldn't have been more awesome to be around and we cant wait to have them back sometime. Check them out when they are in Fayetteville next month. Its not our event, but cool shows are cool shows and you should go!
October 27th we finally got to host John Moreland at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Downtown Bentonville for the second time. We had John there in 2019 for the first show we ever did, and planned to have him back in 2020 but the world had other plans. After a couple reschedules we finally got the show we'd been waiting for and it could not have been a better night. New friend Christopher Paul Stelling kicked off the evening after driving all the way to Bentonville from Atlanta as a last minute addition to the show and was well received by the attentive crowd. We're looking forward to hopefully getting Christopher back to the area next year so keep a eye out for that.
Some shout outs:
Waves Audio came through clutch for us handling all aspects of sound, lighting, and more for our house shows. From a small acoustic set to a full 5 piece rock band they handled it all perfectly. Thanks to Brian Wise & his team for all the help, looking forward to more!
Meteor Guitar Gallery once again allowed us to hold an event in their space and were great partners. Les, Caleb, Mason, and Mac, thank you all for all you did to make the night a great success! Let's do it again!
Wright's Barbecue They don't know it but they fed a bunch of hungry musicians for our house shows. We ordered online & picked up some Platters before the house shows and they were a huge hit!
Shipman Photography captured some awesome shots for several of our shows and we are so appreciative of the time and effort that went in to it.
Rockin' Hog Media for helping us spread the word for the Moreland show using their vast resources for marketing to the music lovers in the area. Always have gotten great results with their help!
Thanks to all the great friends, family, and fans that came out and supported what we are doing! Thanks for spreading the word and bringing friends. Impossible to name everyone who attended a show but we'd be remiss if we didnt call out the few who made it out to all 3 events. Rob Gale, Mary Gale, Brian Wise, Tim Paul, Ashley Hayes, David Hayes, Darrin Hewitt, you are all the real MVPs.
Thanks to everyone who played any part large or small in getting this thing moving. Send us some ideas for 2023, we'll be working on a bigger and better year!
See ya at a show!
