It is one of my very favorite musician’s, composer and bandleaders birthday today, the one-and-only legendary Bobby Hutcherson. He’d be 78 today if he were still here with us. I was fortunate enough to see him play many times, mostly with one of McCoy Tyner’s groups, 2-3 times on his birthday.
