Big things are happening at the Brazilian Room in 2025!
We are closed in February and most of March while the floors are replaced.
And when we reopen, we want everyone to come celebrate with us.

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Expanded Open House Events at the Brazilian Room. The first two events will celebrate the Cherry Blossoms and our Heritage Cherry Trees on April 1st and 15th.

Keep an eye our socials and website for updates. We will be sharing more information about attending vendors and caterers. And of course, updating everyone with the Cherry Blossom Forecast on Stories during our closure.

Join us Tuesday, January 21st for our second Open House of 2025. The Brazilian Room will be open from 3pm-7pm. Approved Caterers Cafe Soleil Ca , Carrie Dove Catering & Events , Culinary Excellence , and Salt & Honey Catering + Events will be on site as well.

This is your last chance to see the venue in person before 2026 Reservations open the following day - Tuesday, January 22nd at 9am.

Open House will not be held in February and March this year, but will return April 1st and 15th for our 🌸Brazilian Room Cherry Blossom Celebration🌸! 🎉 Open RFP for New Caterers 🎉

RSVPs for the Mandatory Site Visit are due no later than Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 9am!

The East Bay Regional Park District wishes to partner with well-qualified caterers to provide catering services on a non-exclusive basis to parties that rent its Reservable Facilities. The District will have a site visit on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, 9am to 12:30pm and will receive digital proposals by 4:00 p.m. on February 10, 2025 for the business opportunity for the operation of Catering Services at the District Reservable Facilities. Facilities include: the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, CA; Fern Cottage in El Sobrante, CA; Temescal Beach House in Oakland, CA; and Shoreline Center in Oakland, CA. 2025 Brazilian Room Open House schedule now available!

Please see the link in our bio for the updated Approved Caterer List which includes the 2025 Brazilian Room Open House schedule on page 2.

Our first two Open Houses of 2025 are scheduled for January 7th and 21st. Open House will not be held in February and March this year but will return April 1st for our 🌸Cherry Blossom Celebration🌸!

Our list of Approved Caterers has not changed, however interested caterers are encouraged to view the RFP details. The mandatory site visit for interested caterers is scheduled for January 29th, 2025. See link in our bio for more information.

Hard to believe that 2024 is coming to a close. The Brazilian Room will be hosting its final Open House of 2024 this Tuesday, December 17th.

Please join us between 3pm and 7pm to learn more about this beautiful historic venue. Approved Caterers Blue Heron Catering , Montperi Catering and Events , and S+S Gastro Grub Catering will be available to speak with clients as well as East Bay Regional Park District Employees.

With rainy weather on the horizon, South Park Drive in Tilden Park will be closing effective Friday, November 1st, 2024 through April 1st, 2025 for the California newts' migration during the rainy season. Please make plans to adjust your travel plans and advise event attendees to use other access routes, such as Golf Course Drive to Shasta Road, to reach the Brazilian Room.

If you are planning to visit the Brazilian Room during our first Tuesday of the Month Open House, November 5th, please plan your route accordingly. We will be holding Open House on Election Day from 3pm-7pm. Staff will be available to answer questions along with Approved Caterers Carrie Dove Catering & Events , S+S Gastro Grub Catering , and Trumpetvine Catering .

Our heritage cheery trees bloomed a little later than expected this year. The trees are now in full bloom, just in time for our second April Open House this Tuesday, April 16th.

Come visit the Brazilian Room this Tuesday, April 16th from 3pm-7pm. Approved Caterers Cafe Soleil Ca, Carrie Dove Catering & Events, and Montperi Catering and Events will be in attendance to speak with event hosts along with EBRPD staff members.

In honor of East Bay Regional Park District's 90th Anniversary, our Wedding Fair theme this year is 💚Forever Yours in the Outdoors💚 and we have a special guest attending the Wedding Fairs. . . Smokey the Bear will be joining us to share information about how 💗Only You💗can prevent forest fires while celebrating in the parks.
