Loretta Lynch are spectacular--three amazing women singing three-party harmony, with lyrics that snap and bite and grab on tight to the punk part of cow-punk. They've allowed two fine males into their band and we're all the better for it. Meanwhile, The Slow Reveal lost our second guitarist and have somehow come out ahead--tighter, more focused, and as Nigel Tufnel might add, "ready to ROCK YOU." (We'll also break your heart with some weepers...) Next Sunday afternoon at the only bar in town with a twenty-five-cent pinball machine. NOT A MONKEY HOUSE SHOW. (A Monkey-in-Chief show...)

As Money-in-Chief, I'm entitled to a little outside promo sometimes, right? :) Anybody who's been to the 100-year-old RITE SPOT knows what a treasure it is. Brian Whitten is the keyboard player in my band: not only as crack musician but a wonderful harmony singer (and delightful human.) If you get a chance to come over I hope you will. I have a feeling we will be on FIRE. Great drinks and no cover!
