Dahlia dig of 2024 💥

This year, I planted dahlia seedlings and some of them were quite beautiful! This is one of the seedlings.

Did you know that dahlia seeds can be anything!? They don’t necessarily look like the parent plant. When you find one you like, you dig up the tubers and divide them, making several plants from your new seedling.

This is one of my favorites from this year - and I dug the tubers today. I’ll wash and divide them this week to store for the winter. 🌼

So many of us and our loved ones have been directly affected by Breast Cancer. There are many people I know and love that are warriors in the fight.

A few years ago, I lost my cousin, Dienna, at the young age of 33. She had an infectious laugh, a beautiful family, and a smile that lit up every room.

This Sunday, I will be walking in her memory with my team in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Northern VT’s Annual Walk. 🎉

🌟On Saturday and Sunday, 100% of the proceeds from all the bouquets in the stand will be donated to Making Strides Northern VT. Please consider donating to this amazing cause. I will place out a number of bouquets and the price is only a donation - however much you would love to donate.

To all those with Breast Cancer, I applaud you for your strength and for fighting with all you have. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who donated to the AMV Foundation this year during the weekend of Avery’s birthday. I’m grateful for you all.

Next year, I’m planning on hosting a sunflower festival here on the farm in Avery’s honor. 🌻🌻🌻

Lastly, please take care of one another. My goal is that every little flower I grow makes someone smile, reminds them they are loved, and this world is a beautiful place to be. 💛🌻💛

Update! Thanks to the combined efforts of Foxy Flower Farm VT, The Enosburg Business and Community Association, EFHS Athletics Boosters, Ellen Lussier, Aleta Deuso, and everyone who donated, we raised approximately $4,500 this year! These funds go toward recognizing and awarding young people in our communities who create cultures of belonging and inclusion in their schools. When people feel accepted and valued for being their authentic selves, they are likely to have stronger mental health. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped raise funds this year! 💛🌻🌻💛
