My calendar is filling up fairly quick this season with end of summer and fall schedulings already. It's getting tricky to balance my own 3 kiddos' schedules, homeschooling, running a farm, and photography. The tiny attention to details are what makes photographing newborns such a nice change of pace for me. It’s slower, more methodical. It can’t be rushed because we all know you go on their time and follow their cues. I love every minute of it.

This sweet girl turned 12 and had a lovely Bat-mitzvah to celebrate last week! We were honored to be guests as a family and I also had the privilege of documenting the big night! It was nothing short of amazing and wonderful.

We had an unexpected snow the night before this wedding and this couple and their wedding party ran with it to get some lovely pictures outdoors and remember their special day. You can't tell it by their big smiles - but it was quite frigid out that day!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

2023 was beautiful and wonderful in some ways and full of hard things and deep sorrows as well. At times we held both within hours of one another and have felt the true depth of what it means to be human and appreciative for every breath. The holidays can be lonely for many and also a chance to connect with those we love.

I hope you find a moment for what your heart is needing most this holiday season and you give yourself the permission and space to embrace it.

This past weekend was full of 9 beautiful families, reconnection, and some warmth and sunshine which was so unexpected for mid November in Colorado!

It's hard to believe that the last time I saw Katie and her lovely family, that sweet gal in the center was less than 2 weeks old. Fast forward 9 months, and she's a moving, sitting, and explorative, bundle of joy.

When Ashley reached out about doing an extended family session I was so excited! Thankfully we snuck this in just as the last of Colorado's golden colors were still hanging in there.
