It's been a while since I have done a fundraiser. So this Friday 1/17 I will be doing "Lahmejun for LA" a fundraiser to help those affected by the fires in LA. Proceeds from every order will be goIng to CERF+, an organization connecting with local partners on the ground to learn more about the needs of local artists and offer resources to craft artists who are affected by the fires.

Lahmejun is also know as "Armenian Pizza". It's a mixture of ground beef, tomato, peppers, onions, and spices pressed onto fresh lavash dough then baked. Great used as a wrap or cut up and eaten just as is!

To be able to send as much money as possible I will be taking payment through my Venmo () rather than my website.

Please send me a message to place your order. Orders will be available for pick at the kitchen in Kittery from 3-4, or delivery options for Portsmouth, Kittery, Eliot, The Berwicks, Somersworth, and Dover!

After far too long I'm back with a new Hye-day plate! This upcoming Friday I'll be grilling up some Pollo Khorovats. One pound of shredded grilled chicken, marinated in citrus, chilies, and Armenian spices. Comes with a side of sumac onions and 6 mini lavash. Feeds 2-3 people.

This photo I will always hold dear. Not many of us get to introduce our children to our grandparents. So I have always been appreciative that my daughter got to meet her great tatik. This photo is about 13yo from when we went to visit my grandmother in assisted living. She sadly had dementia and difficulty remembering Frankie's name. But this picture of my tatik & dowstr sitting together at her organ, that she used to play in church, is everything to me. To see the clouds open and her mind go right back to knowing just what she's always done, and to see my daughter so into what was going on... I wouldn't trade that day for anything... Well maybe one thing, but we all know that's not how things work. Love you Margarite jan! Thank you for so many great memories! ❤️

I had some beef tenderloin tips from sitting in the freezer earlier this week so I decided why not make some Chi Kofte, beef tartare, as an "end of the summer" snack for the family. Now to make sure and try to save some to bring to work for lunch tomorrow!

Before I left for vacation I grabbed a bag of my dry rub for a whole chicken dinner I had planned on making for one of our family dinners. We had the chicken a couple nights ago, and as usual it was a big hit! While at the beach today I got a hankering for steamed mussels. We swung by to grab some mussels, and the essentials for these steamed beauties. While cutting up the onions and garlic I looked over at the still 1/2 bag of dry rub and had a "huh, let's give this a shot" moment. After both dinners I can confirm this stuff tastes great on everything! I meant to take a picture but they didn't last long enough So instead I will leave you with a recipe in the comments!

I'm thrilled to announce my next Hye-day special! I've had lots of requests to do something with lamb. So here we go! This Friday, I'll be preparing a delicious lamb/beef losh kebab plate. It's a 50/50 blend of ground lamb & beef, seasoned and grilled to perfection. Accompanied by handmade lavash, rice pilaf, sumac onions, and a flavorful khorovats salad made with grilled tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and onions, diced and tossed with my own spice blend. You won't want to miss it!

I'm back with a new "Hye-day" plate! This Friday June 14th I'll be grilling up some chicken khorovats plates with rice pilaf, hummus, sumac onions, & handmade lavash. Extra lavash and khorovatss options available.

You may be asking what is Hye-day? In the Armenian language 'Hayastan' (hi-es-tahn) translates to Armenia, while 'Hye' is what Armenians call themselves. Every Friday, I whip up delicious Armenian dishes, hence renaming "Armenian Food Friday" to "Hye-day" in honor of our rich culinary heritage.
