This was our very first "Miracle on First Street" 6 years ago. It started out as a gallery showing of local business owners by Abigail Kathleen Photography. She took pictures of them in their element of creating their craft and showcased them. We had 6 plugs on one to work with in one area, and this was before renovations began. It was great, but it didn't exactly go as planned, so we went in another direction, changing it into a market.
It evolved into a magical market, spilling onto First Street as a full blown market.

Fast forward to 2024. I am retiring the Miracle on First Street Market.

One of the biggest reasons for my decision is that the market for "markets" is way too saturated. Every time we turn around, someone else wants to host a market, which is great, I am just moving in another direction. By the time Miracle comes along, vendors are tired, and shoppers have seen and possibly bought a lot of the vendors products already and are tapped out. Most of the vendors have their products in other brick and mortar markets as well. The craft industry has so many talented vendors and products to choose from. If you are a vendor and are not seeing a whole lot of sales, maybe sit back and evaluate your products. Make a few changes, add something different, I'm not sure. We all have to evolve and change up what we do sometimes. Staying stagnant isn't always the best option in the craft/market world.

Our Miracle on First Street has peaked and it was an amazing ride, but it's getting smaller and not as magical and unique. I am trying to come up with a new idea and evolve from the whole market scene, but at the same time, keep it's name. Evolving is a good thing, we all need to change things up a bit, freshen our minds with new ideas!!

Miracle on First Street Market lines are painted and ready for vendors to start setting up, until 4:00. First Street will be blocked at 4:00.
