Garrett and Montgomery had a beautiful vision for their wedding day. Every detail had been thoughtfully planned, and the tables were decorated so beautifully. As I stood admiring the blue drinking glasses on the tables, I was also quietly asking God to send the storm around us as the skies grew darker to the west.

About that time, the storm arrived.

Within minutes, every table had been completely cleared off. Woven placemats blew across the yard, and those beautiful blue glasses—thankfully plastic—could be heard clanking across the ground. Table décor that we had spent the entire morning arranging was suddenly scattered everywhere. By 11:30 am our work for a 2:00 pm wedding seemed undone.

In a moment when I could have completely fallen apart, I felt an overwhelming peace and calm that I still can’t fully explain. I know God is with me in every moment, and even when things don’t go the way I think they should, I trust that He is still in control and that everything will work out in the end.

And that’s exactly what happened.

An incredible team of people, that I’m so grateful for, jumped in to help secure items, clean up the mess, and put everything back together again. The only thing we couldn’t replace were the tablecloths. I didn’t have a second set, so we simply moved forward and redecorated the tables without them.

At 2:00 p.m., the wedding began without a hitch, followed by a beautiful reception for two young people who deserved the most wonderful day. The mud and standing water was everywhere, and our parking area in the yard barely survived the storm. Even now, you can see the evidence of what we went through to get to the celebration.

But all day long, I kept reminding everyone of one simple truth: they’re going to be married, and that’s what matters most.

A marriage is so much more important than perfect tables, dry grass, or flawless plans. Garrett and Montgomery began their lives together with a union blessed by the Lord, and that is what everyone will remember.

I pray they look back on June 13, 2026, and treasure it in their hearts as one of the best days of their lives. May God richly bless their marriage and guide them through every storm and every joy that lies ahead.

I guess I can officially add “decorated the same wedding twice in one day” to my event résumé. 😅

Just a few hours before this beautiful wedding was set to begin, a storm rolled through and completely changed our plans. Tables were cleared, décor was scattered, and for a moment it felt like all of the hard work had been washed away.

But one thing I’ve learned in this industry is that sometimes the most beautiful moments come after the chaos.

With an incredible team, a lot of determination, and more than a little faith, we put everything back together and got ready to do it all over again. By the time guests arrived, the celebration was exactly where it was meant to be.

These two videos tell the story better than words ever could—from the storm to the calm, from the setback to the celebration.

And honestly? I’d decorate the same wedding twice all over again for a couple this special. 🤍

There's something magical about the weddings held at Windmill Ridge. We love to celebrate and be apart of both onsite and offsite weddings but we hold this sweet place close to heart! ❤️

Jordan and Tiara had a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Baptist Church in Maryville. Simple pew bows paired with gorgeous white florals, beautifully created by Maycee Ragan, and displayed atop white pillars, set the tone for a day filled with elegant simplicity. Their love for one another, along with their love for the Lord, was evident in every part of the ceremony.

Just across the way, their reception was held at Rose Hill Acres. What a unique venue! There were so many charming details around every corner, and the owner, Rosemary, was the sweetest hostess. As the sun set, the glow of glass and candlelight transformed the space into something truly magical. Single-stem flowers provided the perfect finishing touch for each table, while chocolate brown napkins and heartfelt thank-you cards from the couple completed each place setting beautifully. Simple, timeless, and elegant.

I want to share my favorite part of the evening. Tiara asked me to personally serve dinner to her and Jordan. It's not something I had ever considered doing before, but I absolutely loved it. I know the Lord has called me to serve others through this business in many different ways, but being able to provide such a personal act of service to the bride and groom felt especially meaningful. Thank you, Jordan and Tiara, for allowing me to be a small part of your special day. My heart is full. 🤍
