I was invited to the Kingdom Warriors Academy at Kirkley Chapel on Tuesday to give a presentation on place settings, centerpiece ideas, and creative ways to set up a table for an event or holiday dinner. We designed half of the table in an elegant, more formal style and the other half in a rustic, relaxed setup to show how the same space can create two very different looks.

The students were very attentive and engaged, offering great suggestions and sharing their own ideas for how they might style things differently. We also covered table etiquette—where the silverware goes and a few fun ways to tie cloth napkins.

It was so interesting to see their unique takes on design and how each would choose to place their napkin or silverware. The class is currently preparing for their upcoming Thanksgiving dinner, where they’ll be shopping for table décor while staying within a set budget. I offered to let them “shop” our event décor rental basement to help stretch their funds a little further—or free up some of their budget for other needs.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed spending time with them, and I think they enjoyed it just as much!

Payton and Trevor had the most perfect wedding day! The black tablecloths paired with emerald green and gold accents created such an elegant look — and those black candles? Absolutely stunning! The fresh florals by Stephanie Findley with Carter Creek, Vicki Vandiver, and Dianne Thomas added the perfect touch of beauty and were cleverly repurposed throughout the day, moving from the outdoor ceremony to the elegant indoor reception.

The head table ended up being one of my favorites, featuring our three-piece backdrop and a personalized sign draped with emerald green chiffon — it all came together so beautifully.

Guests loved the digital picture frame on the sign-in table and the vintage telephone guestbook, where everyone could leave sweet voice messages for the couple — such a fun and meaningful idea!

Sweet Baby B’s went all out with two gorgeous grazing tables, an incredible meal, and the most delicious cheesecake to end the night. The Tipsee Trailer sisters made another appearance, serving up signature drinks while also capturing moments behind the camera, and Billy Briggs kept everyone on the dance floor with the best tunes.

I’m so grateful they asked me to be part of their special day. Brandi had every detail planned perfectly but needed someone to bring it all together so she could truly enjoy the moment — and it was such a joy to be that person for her. They made me feel like part of the family, and that’s just who they are — warm, welcoming, and full of love 🤍
