Planning a honeymoon after your wedding is one of the best parts of getting married! The first thing to remember when planning a honeymoon is that it doesn't have to be expensive. Even if you're on a budget, you can still have an amazing time away from home with just a few simple tips.

Decide where you want to go and what you'd like to do on your honeymoon. A lot of people choose somewhere they've never been before because they want their honeymoon experience to be unique and memorable.

You can also consider different types of locations; maybe you want to go somewhere relaxing and peaceful, or maybe you'd rather do something adventurous like hiking or skiing.

Once you've decided where you want to go, start researching activities in that area that might interest you both.

Would you prefer a relaxing or adventurous honeymoon?

Working with a wedding planner is like having a fairy godmother. You know, the one who's there to help you make all of your dreams come true?

That's what it feels like to work with a wedding planner. They're there for you every step of the way, making sure that every single thing goes off without a hitch and that nothing slips through the cracks.

If you're thinking about hiring a wedding planner, here are some tips:

1. Ask friends who they had for their weddings, and if they'd recommend them.

2. Check out their website and see what kind of style they have - if they're more traditional or modern, just be sure that they can meet your needs.

3. Meet with them in person (or over video chat) and have them walk you through all of their services from venue selection to food tasting to dress shopping and see if any of it appeals to you.

If you're looking to hire a wedding planner, send me a direct message for more information on how I can help plan your special day.

"Carrie was so incredibly helpful and organized and efficient. There is no way we'd have managed everything without her.

It was such a relief to come to the reception hall after taking photos to see that everything had been set up beautifully and everything was running perfectly.

I'm sure there must have been a million little issues but I didn't hear about a single one because Carrie took care of everything just how we wanted.

She stayed until the end and everything we wanted returned was magically packed. So thankful for her!!"

If you're planning a wedding, here are three easy tips to help you plan the perfect romantic wedding:

1. Start by choosing a venue that suits your style and budget. The venue is one of the most important aspects of your wedding. If you're looking for something unique, consider renting an old theater or museum for the day and having your reception at that location.

2. Decide what type of food you want at your reception and how many guests will be attending. You may want a sit-down dinner or buffet-style meal, so decide what would work best for your guest list before booking anything else!

3. Once you've settled on where to hold the event and what kind of food will be served, start looking at dresses! You'll want to find one that fits well while still being stylish enough for your big day (and maybe even some pictures afterward!).

What would your top tip be for planning a romantic wedding?

The first month of planning your wedding is an exciting time. You're going to be meeting with vendors and setting up your budget and timeline, so you don't want to miss a thing!

Here's our checklist for what you should do in the first month of planning your wedding:

-Pick a date. Don't rush into this decision - the date is one of the most important decisions you'll make when it comes to planning your nuptials. Make sure you pick a date that works for both families, which means talking with them about what they have going on that year.

-Get organized. You're going to need a place where all of your important documents are stored in one place - and we mean ALL OF THEM, including contracts and receipts from vendors. Consider investing in an accordion folder so everything is easy to find when it's time to put together your final wedding budget or vendor contracts.

-Research different venues. In order to make an informed decision about where you want to get married, research at least three different venues within driving distance of where both families live (if possible).

If you're already feeling overwhelmed, send me a direct message and we can see how I can help you with your wedding plans.

Do you want to have a beautiful wedding on a budget?

It's easier than you think! Here are some tips to help you plan your dream wedding, without having to spend a ton of money.

1. Find the perfect venue for your wedding - the more specific you can be with your venue search, the better chance you'll have at finding something that fits into your budget.

2. Make it about the two of you by choosing what is meaningful and reflects who you are as individuals and as a couple.

3. Keep it simple - consider having an outdoor wedding in your backyard or at a local park. This will save you money on renting out space and food expenses. It will also allow you to focus more on the people who matter most at your wedding- your friends and family!

Did you know? After the wedding ceremony and honeymoon, the wedding period is still not over. The newlyweds should send thank you notes and/or postcards via email or mail to all the guests and thank them for attending. If gifts were given that were not monetary but from their registry, they should also thank the guest for the specific gift.

How long do you think is just right before sending out thank you cards?

Wedding invitation style is a lot more than just picking a font and picking some colors. There are actually some pretty tricky things to consider when you're designing them.

1. You can't use the same color for the background and text, but you need to have contrast between them.

2. If your font is too small, people might not be able to read it! And if it's too big? Well, then it's just too big and you might as well have written everything out in pencil on a napkin.

3. If you don't like your design, don't worry! You can always go back and change it later - I've never met a bride or groom who didn't want to make at least one last-minute tweak before sending out her invitations.

Wedding invitations can be a stressful part of the planning process. Here's a few tips to make it easier:

1. Make sure you have the correct address for each guest, including those who live at the same address as one another.

2. If you need to include all guests' names on the invitation, make sure you have their name spelled correctly (including nicknames).

3. Don't forget about any out-of-town guests - and make sure their travel plans aren't going to conflict with your wedding date!

What does a wedding planner actually do?
Wedding planning can be an overwhelming task, but having an experienced wedding planner to guide you along the way can make all the difference in the world.

Our job is to help you plan out every detail of your wedding day down to the smallest detail. I'll work with you to create a timeline for the big day, and then use that timeline to make sure everything gets done on time and in order.

I can help you select vendors for everything from flowers and catering to photography and music. Plus, I'll make sure everything looks great when it comes together for your big day!

Let me take care of all the little details that come up during planning - from managing vendor contracts to figuring out how many chairs should go at each table - so that nothing slips through the cracks. And if there are any last-minute changes or snafus, I'm there to handle them as well.

Choosing a wedding cake is an important decision!

There are a few things to consider when choosing your cake. First, ask yourself if you want a traditional or non-traditional cake. Do you have any allergies or dietary restrictions? If so, it's best to get in touch with the baker beforehand so they can make sure everything meets your needs.

You'll also want to think about how many people will be there and what kind of event it is - if it's a small-ish family affair and your mom's a great cook, maybe she'll want to make her own cake instead of ordering one from a bakery!

Do you prefer traditional or non-traditional wedding cakes?

If you want to get the most out of your wedding table decor, you need to arrange it in a thoughtful way. I've put together some tips for arranging your table decor that will help you create a beautiful and unique table setting.

1) Start with a center piece. A centerpiece can be anything from flowers to candles or even fruit - whatever fits your theme and style! But the key is starting with something that draws attention and sets the tone for the rest of the table.

2) Add color. Use different colored napkins, linens, place mats, etc., to create an interesting color palette for each table.

3) Add texture. Use different textures on each table - from silk flowers to glittery bottles, try adding different textures throughout your tablescape so guests have something new to look at each time they visit another table.

4) Use votive candles instead of taper candles if possible because they're safer than tapers and easier to manage during dinner service; however if you want tapers then make sure they're not real flames but actually LED candle flames because these are safer

When planning a wedding, here are some things to keep in mind:

- Keep your guest list manageable. You don't want to invite your entire extended family, but you also don't want to limit it to just your best friends. Find that sweet spot between the two and invite everyone you love!

- Get rid of the idea of a "wedding party" and instead think of your bridal party as an "entourage" (I love this). Your bridesmaids and groomsmen should be there for you, not just because you ask them to be. Make sure they're people who will support you through thick and thin, not just on the day of your wedding.

- Think about how much time it takes to plan a wedding and make sure that everything is organized well enough ahead of time so that it doesn't feel like you're working on it all at once right before the big day.

Wedding planning is HARD.

You're trying to pull together a day that will be perfect for the two people you love most in the world, and there are so many details to remember. We get it.

Here are the some things that are often forgotten but can make or break your wedding day:

- Ensure your DJ or band has appropriate lighting for their set-up and performance area

- Make sure your officiant has enough time to meet with you before the ceremony begins

- Make sure your photographer knows where to go for the best shots onsite

- Have an extra phone charger handy - you know how it goes!

What else can you add to this list of forget-me-nots?

Ever wonder what the difference between a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Coordinator is?

Wedding planners work on all logistics, from vendor referrals and contract negotiation to day-of ex*****on of the engaged couple's vision. A planner keeps track of your budget and handle the logistics. Some planners also provide design or styling services, helping with the creative specifics of your wedding day while others opt to leave those details to a wedding designer.

A wedding coordinator is logistically focused but on a shorter timeline than a planner. They usually begin helping you prepare a month before the wedding and function as the point person on the wedding day. They will confirm vendor contracts and create a day-of timeline, as well as make sure things like payments and guest counts are in order, but won't be involved in the earlier planning phases or keeping track of your budget. An important aspect of their job is to coordinate everything involved on the day of the event, from load-in and load-out to ensuring that everyone is on schedule.

I offer both types of services so if you're looking for help to plan or coordinate your wedding, send me a direct message and let's see what makes the most sense for your needs.

A wedding planner can save you time and money, but it's also important to consider the emotional and mental benefits of hiring one.

While planning a wedding may be stressful, working with an experienced professional takes some of that pressure off. A wedding planner will understand your vision for your big day and offer guidance along the way so that the process feels less overwhelming.

You can trust that your planner has seen everything before - and if they haven't, they'll find a solution.

In addition to offering valuable guidance on venue selection, catering options, and entertainment options (which are often over-budget), planners also make suggestions about how many guests should attend based on what type of style you want for your celebration - all while keeping in mind budgetary constraints.

The bottom line? Hiring a wedding planner is worth it!

"Work with your vendor team as a unit, not against them. Most important of all is to be honest with vendors about what you want.

You'll also want to be clear about your budget, vision, plus your timeline and expectations, including deadlines for things such as deposits, decisions, or payments to be made, etc.

Also be clear about which vendors you want to work with or not.

"If you're working with your wedding planner, they will likely be using a lot of unfamiliar terms and phrases. To help you understand what's going on, here are some of the most common words and phrases that may come up:
> The bride's father is the ""father of the bride"" or simply ""the father."" Sometimes this person might also be called the ""groom's father.""
> The bride's mother is called either ""mother of the bride"" or just ""mother.""
> Your engagement party (or bridal shower) is usually held by your parents for you, though it can also be thrown by friends and family. It gives guests an opportunity to celebrate with you before your wedding day arrives.

What other lingo or terms should other brides and grooms be aware of? Let us know in the comments!"
