Friendly reminder as wedding season approaches! To those of you attending weddings this summer, please be mindful of the wedding photographer!!!! The bride and groom pay a lot of money to have their wedding photographed by a professional (not always but a good majority of the time) so please please please be mindful of them and their space & time! It is very frustrating as a photographer to have other guests or family members next to us while we are taking a photo, and you’re right next to us taking the exact same photo, and what makes it even worse is when we go to edit and not a SINGLE photo has everyone looking at the camera because someone, in every single photo, is looking at aunt annie’s camera. You wouldn’t want your photos looking like this so please please please make sure you’re not in the way or distracting 😕 DURING THE CEREMONY WE WANT TO SEE YOUR SMILING FACES WATCHING THE GROOM AND THE BRIDE!! NOT YOUR CELL PHONES! watch with your eyes, not your phones😊
Quick edit cause this got a much bigger response than I had expected 😅 I am in no way saying leave your phones at home or leave them in your car or that you’re not allowed to have them out at all! I am saying that wedding photographers are pricey, and the whole point of them is to take photos so that the guests can enjoy the wedding in the moment! It’s not like you can’t take photos AT ALL but during the important moments such as the the ceremony (especially the ceremony, there’s no reason in my opinion to be taking ceremony photos), toasts, first dance, & cake cutting. & if you ARE gonna take photos reguardless, at least respect the photographer and their time and the bride & grooms $$😕 Photographers cost so much and they hire them to get nice high quality photos and so the guests can enjoy instead of worrying about getting the perfect photo; that’s what the professional is there for💝💝💝
