I also want to shout out Little Black Dress Events (& other vendors) who were on site when the storm hit - who took on not only a beautiful wedding for their friend. Took it on with so many logistics and beautiful design work. Which on its own is so. Much. Work. And A lot...BUT they literally fought a freaking monsoon and made the impossible - possible.

I know you are dying for a few photos of the wedding weekend and I can’t wait to share more but this one felt like the most appropriate.
The weekend was filled with so much love 💕 and a whole lot of challenges.
If you are in the MOV you know we have been in a severe drought here since June. We have had less than 2” of rain on the farm since the end of May. Well on Saturday we got 4.1 inches of rain and 60 mph winds in a span of about an hour on the farm, 90 minutes before our guests arrived. Our dance floor was floating in 6 inches of water. A little less than ideal right? 😅
I stood up at the house with Shawn, freakishly calm and watched as my family, friends and all our amazing vendors worked on a plan to make it all still make it happen. and all my flower friends had us in the tent just a few short hours later. It was absolutely unreal.
We laughed, cried and danced our butts off. 🤍
Yesterday, as we headed down to work on clean up, I walked through our production fields and it looked like a war zone. The wind and rain destroyed about 90% of our production field and a large portion of our Dahlias. I stood outside the fence with two of my best farming friends and we all three sobbed together.
This is NOT the post I thought I would be making on Monday morning after the wedding but it’s the hand we were dealt. It’s the most conflicting feeling to be so happy and so heartbroken at the same time. We need a some time to figure out our next move, so for this week through Friday, we will be closed. I will keep you updated later in the week for our weekend plans. (CSA customers you will still have flower pick up I promise)
Flowers and people are resilient as hell! 💪🏼

One of my favorite things to do is walk the fields with my coffee. It can be hard sometimes living where you work because at times I can see only the “to dos”. So intentionally walking with my coffee and soaking in beauty keeps me recharged.
It sure looks like the Dahlias got the memo they needed to put on a show for our wedding weekend. 💞 A perfect spot for our wedding tent don’t you think?

Dearest Gentle Reader,
I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on the future of Ace of Heart Designs - I do not want to panic or stress anyone as we show signs of slowing down & sizing down our inventory.
Everyone knows we have a lot of stuff. I love stuff but I also hate stuff. A lot of inventory comes with a outrageous amount of upkeep. After having our beautiful second baby girl - I've realized it's a lot to keep up with and if you know me, I like to do things well and lately you guys, I don't feel as though I am doing all of this well. As well as I hold myself to.
To be the best mother, farmer, wife, wedding planner, event designer, "Boss" to my team, friend to my friends, daughter, sister, your biggest event cheerleader, choas coordinator, fellow vendor, and as a former client awarded me with "make things happen(er)" - I have to pick my battles, prioritize, and do what feels right moving forwarding as the creative driver of Ace of Heart Designs.
You will see our inventory catalog shrink and change - but not in a bad way. As we move into 2025 - we are slowing down temporarily to nourish our family, our farm, and build our new home. (Designing from ground up a full custom home - it's a lot of work)
I'm moving into our 2025 with quality over quanity glasses. The events we will be part of will be few come 2025 - but only temporarily. So don't panic. We are just taking a few steps back to shift our business, have a little less stuff that isn't rented out often, and add more unique pieces for you to choose from. We are staying true to our brand and you, and I think holding on to too much commerical items and just too much stuff- is pushing us from our goal, which is you. Giving you the best version of myself, my team, and our services.
We will continue to work on client design, unique rentals, and assist with everything event on a smaller scale. As we grow this beautiful farm, this new house build, and these incredibly sweet tiny humans of ours.
I cannot express my gratitude for always being in our corner, with your support, love, and always recommending us to your family and friends.

As a Mom to an 8 month old myself and personally knowing this family - my heart calls to help where we can.
I want you all to meet this sweet baby, Mya. Mya, at 6 months old - had brain surgery to remove a tumor from the temporal lobe. This family is anxiously in the dreadful waiting period to determine exactly what type of tumor it was and what the following steps may be for their future. Her Mama(& her family), is one of the most compassionate and best ICU nurses I've had the privilege of working with is currently wearing some heavy weight on her(their) shoulders.

We hid another Ace of Heart Designs Easter eggs! The Yellow Egg is hidden! I was absolutely head over heels with the Benny & Babe at the Buckley transformation and delicious dinner that I failed to get a photo of the egg & restaurant in one photo. 🤷♀️🤦♀️ I hammered down eating the delicious pork chop presented to me that I didn't even take the time to capture a photo of it but I stole one from their page! Guys... run here. Seriously don't walk. The food, atmosphere, staff, and experience is one of a kind. Oh and that cheesecake! 🤤🤤🤤 I cannot wait to go back and try everything on their menu!
