Well, friends, it’s a sad day for us here at the studio. As of December 31st, The Sellam Circus School will be leaving the Pepperell Mill, and we will begin our search for a new studio space. We have found incredible community here in Biddeford, and at the Mill, and we are deeply saddened that we must go. However, as the pandemic continues to rage, our ability to return to full capacity has become increasingly difficult. We are thankful for the folks at the Pepperell Mill, and in our larger business community, who have done all they can to support us during this difficult time. Like many in our business community, and in the circus industry, we came to the realization that we have no choice but to pause, and sit tight, until we can meaningfully reorganize, with COVID in the rearview mirror.
While we are sad to be leaving this beautiful studio that we have loved so much, we are also hopeful. We know that our little circus school can weather great adversity, because it is the sum of many miraculous, moving parts: You. We look forward to finding our new home, and building an even better, more versatile, and safer space for circus training . . . We will be sure to update you regarding our search, and we welcome any suggestions or support that you may want to send our way.
We hope that for these last few days of classes at the Pepperell Mill, you will stop in to see us if you are nearby. (Masks on, of course 😊). And if you are registered for these last classes, we look forward to laughing, sharing stories, and as always . . . working hard.
Thank you, circus family. We are grateful for you, and we will see you down the road.
Love,
Sellam & Amity
