We offer retreats for the fiber obsessed to spend quality time slowing down and focusing on your stitching. Using the rustic beauty of Maine as the backdrop, AGOS brings world class Makers to share their knowledge, their experience and their skills in intimate groups of stitching practitioners. We believe that working with needle and thread (or yarn) provides the perfect antidote to a day on the c

omputer. The analog experience of making something real, something tangible, something that you can use in your daily life, is the answer to the digital question of life. Don’t get us wrong, we love our computers, our blogs, the pdf’s of patterns, and the way they connect us to fellow knitters and sewists, but at the end of the day it is the concrete stitch that binds us to our history, our community, and our selves. A Gathering of Stitches will celebrate and support that experience whatever form it may take, with the person and the textile.
