On Saturday night, don't miss our Pre-Show act, Katie & The Holler Dogs. Hailing from the old coal camp hollers of St. Charles, Virginia, Katie and The Holler Dogs consists of fearless leader Katie Bledsoe on lead vocals and guitar, her young and talented sister Cassie Bledsoe on mandolin and vocals, and Earnest Bledsoe on lead guitar and whatever else the song calls for.

From the earliest childhood influences of the acapella harmonies that rang through their papaw’s Primitive Baptist Church, Katie & the Holler Dogs have woven a beautiful musical tapestry that combines shades of h***y tonk, country, bluegrass, and punk into some of the most pure, honest sounds you will ever hear.

Throughout a Holler Dogs set you will experience a roller coaster ride of hand clapping, foot stomping joy. It’s been said that when the stars align and the moon is right, that their vocal harmonies will bring a tear to a glass eye. Come experience it for yourself and you just might agree. Award winning old time musician and Big Stone Gap native, Tyler Hughes will be our pre-show entertainment on Saturday, June 8th. Tyler has been performing and preserving the musical traditions of central Appalachia since his teenage years. His banjo tunes and songs have been heard on stages close to home and internationally. He has appeared on Jazz at the Lincoln Center, the historic Carter Family Fold, and WSM's Grand Ole Opry. His latest recording, "When the Light Shines Again" paints a musical timeline of coal mining's history in the surrounding mountains. When he's not performing or teaching, Tyler can be found calling square dances at music camps, country stores, and community gatherings. Gates open at 7 & the preshow begins at 7:15.
