I grew up nordic ski racing in alaska with my dad on my tail...and the most joyful memories from before my time were of dad in the wind river range getting his masters in geology from the university of Wyoming. A perfect place to visit and reflect on dad's legacy....sleep well pop.

A couple of years ago I randomly started decorating the bike at Ceres bakery in Kalispell. I continue to do it purely as a random act of kindness. I receive in exchange no money. The greater gift is in hugs smiles support and love for a small beauty in my community. Isn't that why we do flowers..to experience joy in others? Here's to the smiles...

For years and years I gathered this week to honor support and give voice to those, like myself, who have been victims of domestic violence. The show "The Va**na Monologues " was performed to raise funds and awareness of the worth of all of us. This week, I miss my fellows ... their beauty and spirit, truth, compassion strength and love are all qualities I strive to hold close each day. If you have the capacity or desire. Donate your time, money or love to the local shelter or domestic violence holiness. As a woman who is alive today because of their existence... thank you. You are loved.

When my children were Littles I made them a gingerbread house to decorate then devour on Christmas morning. Now, more Mindful of my grandkids health they are smaller...but super fun to bring and decorate with them. Yes...they are lit inside so they glow at night.
