They live on a beautiful farm with idealistic views that they realized are perfect for an event venue. The farm itself has quite a history. It was owned by Ora Smith who was a local grain farmer / cattle raiser but also a politician who served six terms in the Illinois State House and a term as Illinois State Treasurer from 1949-1951 under Adlai Stevenson II.
The views on the farm are stunning, and with the corn crib and grain bin, an idea was born for a unique event venue that is easily accessible via Burlington, IA or Monmouth, IL.
