Come join us for MontanaFair 2024! August 9th-17th MontanaFair is an agricultural celebration in the historic tradition of fairs.

It is the region’s largest event with attendance of nearly a quarter of a million each year. Held at MetraPark in Billings, MontanaFair celebrates for nine days beginning the second weekend in August. Nearly 10,000 people will earn cash and ribbons for their entries which range from beer, wine, bunnies, crocheting, horticulture, horses, cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, petit-point, pickles, to hobbies,

and arts and crafts.The Thomas Carnival operates the midway featuring rides and games. A shady park for kid’s rides accommodates families and the free Kid’s World exhibit nearby offers free games, activities, and a petting zoo for small children. Food choices are abundant at the fair featuring the traditional corn dog, BBQ, corn on the cob, ‘Vikings On a Stick’, fresh lemonade, and beer gardens. Stages around the grounds provide free entertainment that can include music, comedy, hypnosis, kid’s entertainment, variety acts, draft horses, and more. It's almost time for Yellowstone Dig It Days at MontanaFair!

Head to the Infield on Friday and Saturday, August 16-17, from noon to 6pm.

This fun family-centered event is back again this year, bringing industry professionals together with kids and families while learning safety whenever digging in the ground.

We will have some opportunities for all to earn some $$$$ by participating in Dig It Days 2024. Adults and kids can fill out the maps and turn in for a drawing of $200 each day. Kids and young adults from ages 14-22 can operate heavy equipment for a chance to win $200 each day, and whoever can post the best Dig It Days picture with caption can win $200 each day by sharing your best pictures on Facebook and adding the hashtag . The heavy equipment operators will have a chance to win $400 in the egg moving contest on Saturday August 17 @ 3pm, So bring the family and come dig with us at Dig It Days 2024 Friday & Saturday August 16 & 17 from noon - 6pm. Everything at Dig It Days is FREE to do. Let's Dig it!

Have you voted for your favorite vendors at MontanaFair? YOU get to vote for your favorite indoor, outdoor, and food and beverage vendors each day of the fair. We've awarded several amazing vendors so far, but there's still time to vote for more worthy winners.

Each vendor has a little card with a QR code on it that will take customers to a voting page on their cell phones.

The voting will close each night at midnight and the winners will be announced the following day. Daily winners will receive a People’s Choice Rosette Ribbon to proudly display at their booth, and overall winners at the end of the fair will be crowned “Vendor of the Year” and receive a special award and recognition.

🐐🤠 What is a costume animal parade? It's pretty much a whole lot of cuteness with a large dose of fun. This year's theme was the "Wild Wild West."

Have you ever wondered what the different colored ribbons mean in our Heritage Arts, Art Barn, and Youth Art buildings? Heritage Arts Superintendent, Marie Smith, has the details.

Tuesday, August 13 is Indigenous Heritage Day here at MontanaFair! A special performance by Supaman will take place on the Mint Smartwash Stage at 1pm and indigenous artists will be showcasing their art throughout Heritage Park.
