Gatherin' together just like in the Good Ol' Days In the early 1900's, Union City was much more than just this one building and a few houses, as it is today.

In the fall of 2022, God put it on our hearts to buy this beautiful old property and turn it into a place where folks could once again gather just like in the good ol' days. During the Civil War, the Union Army camped at this area (which is only about 10 miles south of Wilson Creek National Battlefield). There was a blacksmith shop, hotel, school, doctor and more. Reportedly, this historic buildin

g was originally built to be a train station, but when they decided to move the railway, it became a general store and post office. Over the past century, it has served as everything from a feed store to a motorcycle shop, a gun store and a church fellowship hall. Other than a few memories passed down through the generations, Union City has all but been lost to time. Our prayer is that we can once again offer a place for people to come and gather to celebrate life events and special occasions. We also will offer various ministry opportunities for the spread of the gospel and celebration of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the only reason any of this is possible and we are blessed to serve Him through the revitalization of this historic property.

We're going to be decorating the outside of 30+ shoeboxes on November 16 at noon. Then, we're going to pray over each and every shoe box that it lands in the hands of a child who will have an opportunity to hear the gospel for maybe the first time ever! We are going to pray that what may look like just a shoe box full of insignificant things to us will actually be a conduit for the gospel to a child in great need of hearing about how much Jesus loves them! Join us for the fun!!!

We are so blessed to have Dr. Alex Hennis join us at 10am to share how God rescued him from a life sentence of imprisonment (literally and spiritually). Once serving a virtual life sentence at Angola in the Louisiana State Penitentiary as a habitual violent criminal, Hennis experienced a move of God that is now reaching thousands for the Kingdom! At the age of 6 years old, this sweet lady received her first Christmas gift in the form of an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. It was the first real HOPE she had experienced after being separated from her siblings and placed into an orphanage. Help us be a part of this kind of story for more children looking for hope! Join us in filling a shoebox and bringing it to The Depot at Union City on November 12 at noon. We'll take it from there.
