July was sooo good. Ready for August 🤍
First venue walk through of the season!
Nothing makes 3 months out from your wedding day feel more real than walking through your venue and creating the floor plan. This is where all of your hard work pays off and all the small details start to come together. This is where you take a breather, take a step back, and let me work my magic! Stay in the moment, enjoy what you have accomplished, and look forward to what is to come! 🤍
I cannot express enough how blessed I am with the clients who chose me to help with their most special day.
Let’s do this Renee and Caden! 🎉🎉
XOXO,
B. Golden
Seating Chart: Pros vs. Cons
PROS
1. Everyone has a place:
Your wedding is one of the events of your life where all friends and family will be coming together to celebrate you in one place. With so much diversity of friends from all stages of your lives and family members from both sides, having them know where to sit will help them feel more comfortable and allow full enjoyment of your wedding.
2. No empty tables:
Let’s be honest. Weddings are not cheap. With keeping budgets in mind, you will want to utilize the rentals and accessories you are paying for. This includes tables and chairs. You will know exactly how many tables chairs you will need. Meaning no tables or money wasted.
3. Less awkward for guests:
Having a seating chart allows you to make sure that your great uncle Mark does not have to sit anywhere near your 2nd cousin Joe, who hasn’t spoke to each other in years (hypothetical of course). Or one of your friends doesn’t have a plus one, you can help them feel more welcome by placing them at a table with others who you know will make their night enjoyable instead of letting them find a spot for themselves!
4. Helps the flow of dinner:
This is essentially the best idea for big weddings. Table assignments can help dictate the flow of guests getting up to get dinner. Where the Dj can announce which tables are released to get up and get food. Or if you have a catered wedding with table service, the servers will know exactly where to take each plated meal.
CONS
1. Time consuming:
Some family members might want to sit with other family members. Some friends may have a better time with other friends. It is time consuming putting it all together. Then developing a visual layout for your reception space that is clear for guests to navigate and find their seats.
2. Guests do what they want:
I bet you can close your eyes and picture the exact guests who will read your seating chart and still pull up their chair to a completely different table.
