It makes us very sad to hear this happened, this is why we we work so hard at safe bounce house play and teach our clients on when it is safe and not safe for bounce house use. Please remember that 20mph is the maximum wind for any inflatable when staked appropriately. There is never an excuse for inflatables not being stakes or anchored. Some inflatables are rated for lower wind speeds especially residential style bounce houses. It is everyone’s responsibility to make sure kids are supervised when playing in a bounce house. According to the Mayo Clinic, bounce houses must be securely attached to the ground and avoided when high winds or storms are present.
