Some days, I question the significance of what I do. Then, there are moments that bring me to tears, like when I realize I've taken someone's final photos. As I prepare those images for a funeral, I always take a moment to reflect on that day, thinking about how incredible it is that something I've captured will become part of someone's legacy—something their family will treasure for generations.

It's in those moments that I realize being a photographer is so much more than just taking pictures. It's an honor and a privilege to be trusted with preserving these memories. Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your lives in such a meaningful way.

Let this be a reminder to schedule those family photos. We moms, especially, tend to avoid the camera, but your family deserves to have those memories with you in them.

Thank you for supporting my small business—it means the world to me.

Busy working on the photos for this sweet couple Kayla and Cody. They were wed at beautiful The Barn at Love Farms (one of my favorite venues). The day was a mix of clouds, sunshine and LOTS of heat. I always am so grateful for days like this because we get so many different looks to our photos. I hope you enjoy these sneaks while I finish up the gallery.

When you take teens to the beach….

I have to give credit to my customer on this one. I LOVE this picture we took Saturday. They are going to look back at this photo one day and be in awe of these "dated phones". So typical of the times. Sitting on a beautiful beach texting.

This is your sign to call me for an extended family beach photo shoot. It is amazing how many photos you will end up with and a lifetime of memories. The sessions are only 30 minutes and you are already dressed and ready to head to dinner after.

This is my reminder to you to back up your photos. Lots of summer storms and little power outages.

1) If you have amazon prime download Prime Photos. ITS FREE. Set it to update automatically. Every time you take photos on your phone it backs them up for you.

Or

2)$11.99 a month buys you Dropbox. I’m happy to help you with this if you have questions.

Or

3) go buy a external hard drive. Transfer a copy of your photos to this.

AND

4) And most important come up with a printing plan. Print your photos monthly, quarterly, yearly. Whatever works. (Amazon is great because you can print straight from the app.)

FYI I use ALL of the above methods.

Side note: I have a large battery backup on my computer. If power goes out my computer still runs for 6 hours. This is cheap peace of mind too! Even if I wasn’t a photographer I think I would still have this. It’s something to consider if you have frequent outages in your area.

Santa is still resting from his busy Christmas season, but I have had clients reaching out because they see other local photographers booking Santa sessions already. I wont be booking until September. However, I have Santa booked.

I will be offering multiple session types as well as a Sensory Santa for children who may need limited noise or disruptions.
