Happy New Year!!
I hope the holidays were a time of great enjoyment and possibly rest for all of you. I know I thoroughly enjoyed my small break!

What an amazing day with such amazing people. I've never seen two people beam as much as Tom & Kaylee and how absolutely stunning the bride was today!
I was so honored to be a part of such a momentous event that I know Kaylee has been dreaming of since she was a little girl. I've watched her from her days in band with my kids, watch her reach her dreams during and after college with working in aviation and traveling the world, and now witness her marry the love of her life.
Congratulations Tom & Kaylee! I am beyond thrilled for the two of you! I can't wait to keep watching you both grow and reach bigger dreams together!!
And thank you for allowing us to be a part of this magical day!

As some of you know, the family that lives behind my little shop endured most everyone's worst nightmare. A fire broke out in their home in the early morning hours on Tuesday, resulting in them having to stand outside in the cold and watch their home burn to the ground.
The incredible volunteer firefighters did an amazing job containing the fire, which I am so incredibly thankful for, but unfortunately they couldn't save the structure.
The family did make it out without injury, but are now without so much. We have had some folks stop by and ask if and how they can help. Neighbors and community members have organized various ways to assist and I wanted to extend the invitation to anyone that wants to donate new or gently used (clean) clothing and/or pet food. Pictured below are their sizes. An account is being set up for monetary donations, and I can share once that information becomes available.
I am putting a box out on my front porch (starting Friday) for you to place any items and we will collect over the next few days. If you do not feel comfortable leaving your items outside and my van is there, feel free to knock and I will happily accept your kind donation.

And just like that, another beautiful memory was made. This amazing couple (and family) powered through every bride's nightmare....a huge rain storm right before the ceremony. Hours of work washed away in a single moment. BUT! After the rain passed the beautiful fog that creates our iconic smoky mountain look rolled in and gave them some INCREDIBLE views.
Her fur baby was SO excited for her big moment!
There was a single moment, maybe now one of my favorites, where they snuck away from the guests and just took a moment for themselves after the ceremony. Everyone was eating and socializing and having a great time, but they paused and went back outside. Wading through rain puddles and empty chairs, and just shared a precious moment just the two of them. I was so happy I saw them out of the corner of my eye, so I snuck over to grab this shot.
Emily & Zachary, thank you for allowing us the honor of being part of your special weekend. Congratulations to a lifetime of love and more sensational memories like this weekend!!

Kicking off the second half of wedding season with such a fun night! It was a beautiful evening celebrating two amazing people. Anytime someone asked what was being served for dinner (breakfast by the way), they smiled and said "That's so Ellie!"
