Four months ago today, this beautiful woman went to be with Jesus. It may seem strange that I’m posting this on my wedding page, but the truth is, if it weren’t for her, MTG Celebrations would not exist.

In 1980, when my sister got married, we had an amazing ceremony director. (That’s all anybody had back then.) Donna’s wedding went off perfectly! After learning from Penola, Mom directed almost every wedding at our church and I assisted. Then, in 1989, I was called into action. Mom directed the rehearsal but couldn’t be there for the ceremony. On August 12th, I directed my first wedding and I was hooked!

So here’s to you mom! Thank you for taking me to ALL the weddings when I was a child. Thank you for teaching me. And thank you for putting me on this path and encouraging me to make MTG Celebrations a reality! I truly could not have done it without you.
