While attending the Emerald Coast Wedding and Events Showcase Bridal Show - Dionna Haygood WON a Wedding Feature Story in the Destin Bridal Directory. She and Michael Chenault are planning to have their wedding next year at Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center with John Starrett Photo scheduled to capture the special moments.
Here is a little info that Dionna shares with us:
Mike and I met back in 2018 at my place of employment, Emerald Coast Harley Davidson. He is an avid rider and would come in for service on his Harley. Mike would always smile and say hello so we became friends. Fast forward to August 2021, I was ranting on Facebook, at 10:30 pm, (as we sometimes do), about my daughter's car not starting and he reached out to me through messenger asking if I wanted him to look at it. He has decades of mechanical experience. Of course I was instantly grateful and said yes, please! The next day, he not only fixed the issue but he bought her new windshield wipers and would not accept payment from me. So, I said well can I at least buy you a drink? He laughed and said yes and we headed to McGuire's in Destin! The rest is history. We have been inseparable ever since.
In February of 2024, he planned a trip for us and my adult children to Gatlinburg, TN. Unbeknownst to me, he also had my mother and brother flying in from Texas. It was a beautiful Valentine's Day weekend and the night before we were to come home, February 16, 2024, we went up to Anakeesta to have dinner. He had my family go up ahead and decorate the observation tower with real red, pink, white and yellow rose petals and had a song set to begin playing as we came up the stairs and rounded the corner. In front of my family and about one hundred strangers, he said the most beautiful words I've ever heard and then asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Of course I said yes! Our wedding will be October 25, 2025 and we cannot wait to share it with family and friends.
