Hi 👋🏼 I’m Carly!!
It’s been a little bit since I introduced myself here and now is the perfect time.

There has been some change here at ECE, the biggest one being I got married!! On April 20th the planner finally became the bride. I got to marry the love of my life and best friend John Neil Stanback. 😍🤍

Short version of our story is we met at his sister’s wedding in January 2023. Best part is I was her wedding planner.
John Neil & I met, fell in love and got engaged in exactly 10 months. 5 months later we got married and could not happier. We live in Hoover with our 2 pups, Ellie (beagle) & Boone (lab). 🐶

After 8 years of serving brides I believe this is the season when I’m enjoying it the most, because now I’ve been through it all. The planning, emotions, second guessing decisions, and everything in between. It’s not always easy being the bride, but all that comes with the title is totally worth it!

I am so happy to now share a new connection with each of my brides. I hope my experience can bring a little extra peace and joy to each couple I serve. Being married truly is such a wonderful gift from the Lord. 🤩💍

It’s not every day I get to serve brides and grooms who have been long time friends. Hannah & I were on the same hall freshman year at Samford U. Our friendship was pretty instant and it’s all because of the outgoing and kind spirit in her. David and I have known each other since our days at Briarwood (Go Lions 🦁) and to this day is still one of the nicest guys you’ll meet.

So grateful to have been able to walk along side them as they began the start of their marriage. 🤍

Pass the Champagne, it’s Friday!! 🥂
A champagne pass as guests enter a reception is my favorite way to make an opening statement. This simple gesture makes your guests feel cared for and it’s delicious.

Let’s not forget the other little details in this photo:
1. Koozies are always a hit and something your guests will keep.
2. Disposable cameras are a new favorite for me! It’s perfect for your wedding party to use and later gives you a glimpse into the wedding day through their eyes. 100% recommend having a few on hand, day of. 📸

Starting this week off with a Hello!! 👋🏼👋🏼
There are a few new faces around here, so it’s about time I introduce myself again.

I’m Carly, the girl in the middle of this gorgeous couple (hey Mr. & Mrs. Laird!!😉). I’m always holding flowers and carrying a purse of random items that are most likely needed.

I would describe weddings as exciting, high energy, and really fun. There are always challenges, but that’s never intimidated me. I really love my job and all of the people I get to serve. It’s a blessing and a privilege to do what I love everyday!

I’ve already had 2 killer weddings this year and it only gets better from here. Stay tuned for more beautiful weddings this year. 🤍

How would I describe Feb. 5, 2022?
Dreamy, Romantic, Joyful, Exciting, Fun… the list of adjectives goes on and on. All in all, it was incredible and everything Elizabeth & Peter dreamed.
I’m so grateful to have been able to walk through the planning process with them over the last 7 months. This will definitely be a day we’ll all remember forever.

It’s Wedding Week!! I’ll be honest, outdoor weddings always make me stress a little extra (as would any planner), but nothing beats days like this when there are beautiful clear sky’s and the temp is perfect.

This weekend we are gearing up for a beautiful outdoor wedding at Vulcan Park & Museum in Birmingham. It will be cold, but absolutely gorgeous, with one of the best views of the city.

Today my parents celebrate 38 years of marriage. How amazing! 38 years of struggle, tears, heartbreak, loss, disappointment, but so so much laughter, fun, adventures, excitement, happiness, and of course love.

I mention the hard things first, because it’s easy to only look at the good, but really marriage is tough and great all at the same time. It’s the best when it’s completely centered on the Gospel. My mom and dad have been through a lot in their 38 years, but never have they wavered in their trust of the Lord’s promise to always provide for them and our family.

Thank you mom and dad for being such a beautiful example of a marriage centered on Christ! 🤍
