Something happened this weekend that was every photographer’s absolute worst nightmare! 👻📸

We had our last three mini sessions of the year scheduled at the beautiful field in front of The Preserve Town Hall in Hoover. Three families, lots of kiddos, the whole shebang. 🤩 But with the time change, I knew I was dangerously close to losing the light… and then it started raining. 🌧️

Panic mode activated.

I texted my clients (who, thankfully, are also some of my best friends) to let them know about the rain, but no worries—we’d just tuck under the gorgeous white columns at the Town Hall. 🙌 It’s perfect for photos, and we’d be dry. Easy.

But then I pulled up… and saw the lights on at the Town Hall… and the doors wide open. 😱 There was a wedding reception happening inside! People everywhere! 💃🏽

Cue full-on panic. 😬 I called my assistant, Ella, who was pulling in right behind me, hoping she could think faster than I could (spoiler: she usually does). We pulled up in front of a few houses across from the green space, trying to come up with a Plan B. I also called my clients, and I’m sure they thought I was the least professional photographer in the world for not having a Plan C in place. But hey, we were in the middle of a real-life crisis! 😅

Then, out of nowhere, Ella spotted it— a gorgeous house with a huge front porch. All white, modern, with beautiful brick steps. She looked at me and said, “What if we just knock on their door and ask to use the porch?”

Internally I was like, “WHAT? No way!” 😳 But externally, I kept my cool and said, “Okay, let’s do it.”

So, I rang the doorbell, explained the whole situation, and the homeowner? She was ✨incredibly✨ kind. Before I could even finish my sentence, she’d already said yes to letting us use her porch! 🙏🏼💖

This is just a reminder that sometimes things don't go as planned. Sometimes we think everything is falling apart and it’s easier to just call it quits. But the kindness of strangers, the support of my amazing clients, and the quick thinking of my assistant turned a nightmare into something beautiful. ✨

I'm so grateful for the unexpected moments like this that remind me there’s so much good in the world. ❤️ Thank you to the lovely homeowner, my wonderfully gracious clients, and my awesome assistant for making these photos happen.

We are so excited to premiere Hannah and Marshall Eads’ wedding film. We loved filming at all of the locations @ The Ledges in Huntsville and the golf course footage was no exception. The rain held off just long enough for us to get some beautiful sunset footage and when the clouds finally broke and the rain came down, the it was time for the reception to begin.

When I first sat down with them to discuss their vision for the day, the biggest takeaway was that they wanted their wedding to day memories to be of them having fun with all of their friends and family and hoped that the video would capture that vibe. That night when Marshall’s band made an appearance on stage leading the crowd, it sure made it easy to be capture that party that I was expecting from the moment they first told me. Special thanks to for thinking of us to partner together on such a beautifully executed day!

Yep, A Morales Production is now Bright & Gray Creative. While we figure out how that works with all of our websites and social media presence, we wanted you to be the first to hear the news!

2. 📸 She was photo editor of her high school yearbook as a junior and editor her senior year. She’s been taking photos as long as she can remember. She was also class president. A fact that shouldn’t surprise people who know her in real life.

3. 💕 Jessica knew she wanted to adopt from an early age and brought it up to Jason on one of their first dates.
