Hey folks, I can't hold back today. So many small miracles in my life...even though it has been challenging.
I had a wild trip home from the Czech republic this week but through a series of miraculous events I made it home in time to get my daughter and her friend to Utah for a church event (FSY). Along the way, I have never traveled with my kids being so quiet and lovely on a road trip! I didn't think I would make it to Utah in one shot but we seemed to have made the best time we ever have. Cassee drove through the worst weather along the way and she was a trooper! Rain and hail was coming down like crazy, everyone was on the edge of their seats. I was half sleeping half awake guiding her through the storm.
When I woke up this morning (in Utah) I saw a few posts where people are encouraging my son Adam, through his battle against cancer! The blessings don't stop!! As I read some scriptures I came across the one below in Alma 30:44. As I pondered the scripture and looked out the window I was looking for how the "all things denote there is a God". I saw a large cherry tree, a large walnut tree, and a medium sized apple tree all within 10 yards of each other. I noticed that the fruit of the walnut looked very similar to the growing fruit of the apple tree. From a distance, you might confuse the leaves of the cherry tree from the ones of the walnut. These trees are totally different from one another, have different types of fruit, but they still provide value to the world. It is hard for me to believe that the uniqueness of these trees was coincidence or just a random evolutionary occurrence. I looked a little closer at the trees and saw that some had a few problems with them. Disease was apparent, some curling of leaves, and I know from past experience that the cherries produced on the cherry tree often has worms in them. Just like the uniqueness of people on this planet. We all have different gifts and talents that we can provide the world, we also all have our own challenges. Some of those are outwardly apparent and some are on the inside hidden from the world. If it was just these three trees, I would tell you that there is a God. But, my recent days have been full of miracles! God knows us, He loves us, He is the creator, The merciful one! All things denote there is a God! Enjoy your sabbath day!!
