Being asked to photograph this engagement was such an honor. I went to kindergarten on with Josh, and in high school I swam with Gracie. When I found out they got together in college, it made so much sense. They are two of the most tender souls, always caring about the people around them and loving deeply.
If you know downtown Bismarck, you know (or have at least seen) Coffee Break. Over the course of many Sundays Josh and Gracie tried every single flavor of coffee that they offer, which by the looks of the syrups through the windows, is a lot. Like most of us do, they had their “spot” that they claimed every time, and it was only right that Josh proposed in that very place.
The owner of Coffee Break, Sia, just retired after running it for over 30 years. I hope he knows what a sanctuary he’s created for all the friends and lovers over the years. He said in his time there he’s had four (I think) proposals happen. I am so thankful I was able to be apart of this one and am so excited to see what these two do together in the future.
Congratulations again and !❤️

I’m a North Dakotan born and raised, but have grown into a free spirit and call countless places home. My childhood was full of road trips with my family and I was always the one with my mom’s camera in hand to capture every moment. Ever since I picked it up as a six year old girl, I haven’t been able to put it down. The joy that comes from capturing emotion in its purest form overflows from me.
My dream is for your photos or video to evoke a memory that takes you back to the day, the month, or even someday have the possibility for you to reflect on the year it was taken
Times that are marked by love, by joy, sadness, peace, heartbreak, hope, and excitment
These are the real emotions of life and the ones that make us human
They deserve to be documented.
