North Dakota’s HB 1373 redefines life to begin at fertilization. This bill creates serious dangers for women’s health and infertility care—just like what’s happening in other states where women’s lives have been put at risk.

In states with similar laws, women have been denied care during pregnancy emergencies, risking infections, hemorrhage, and even death. Don’t let this happen in North Dakota!

🔴 Risks for Women Who Miscarry
• Miscarriage care could be delayed or denied because doctors fear legal consequences.
• Women could face investigations or criminalization for pregnancy losses beyond their control.
• States with similar laws have already seen women left untreated for life-threatening complications.

🔴 Threats to Infertility Care
• IVF clinics could face legal risks for handling embryos, forcing them to limit or stop services.
• Fertility preservation for cancer patients or other medical needs could become inaccessible.

🔴 Government Overreach
• Lawmakers without medical expertise are dictating when life begins, putting politics over science and patient care.
