DJ Antiquity was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. He has had a love for music since his early teenage years when he began to record his favorite songs off the radio and make mix tapes for friends and family. In high school and collage he was the guy at parties picking thru the records and cds, choosing tracks for people to dance to. In the beginning of 2000s, he bought a pair of turntables and began to collect records in earnest, learning slowly to mix music and producing his own with samples from albums. In the years that have followed he accumulated several thousand records from his travels, refined his distinctive taste in music and has been fortunate to deejay many places around Bismarck and beyond. Then in 2016 a few friends who enjoyed his mixing style and musical tastes began to relentlessly encourage him to take to the airwaves, thus The PhonoFort with DJ Antiquity came to be.
The PhonoFort can be heard on Radio Access 102.5 FM and radioaccess.org Tuesdays at 1 pm and Saturdays at 4 pm.
