We're a small homestead with diverse food, flower and herb production tucked in the Swannanoa Valley of Western North Carolina. We are committed to beyond organic methods of production and take great pride in innovative re-purposing of materials, top quality organic inputs for our soil and crop, and creative presentations of our products to our community. We mix our own potting soil using a specia

l blend of organic ingredients and nutrients, use compostable pots for our seedlings, and reuse/repurpose materials for our operations to reduce our footprint. We take our role of stewards of this little corner of the earth seriously and seek to bring joy and vitality to our neighbors. We produce seedlings to jump start healthy home gardens, bouquets to bring that sunshine inside to brighten a day, and provide U-Pick opportunities to bring more people out into the buzzing, sweet smelling flower and herb fields. We sell our seedlings through pre-order (keep an eye on our posts for annual release of order form!), at Black Mountain Tailgate market, and at our home stand. Our flowers are available through the growing season at our honor stand, by special orders, and restaurant/business weekly accounts. While we don't do traditional weddings, we welcome your creative request for small-scale special events. Hi everyone! We're a little over a week away from the Take Root Festival, and we wanted to give a little sneak peek into all the fun we have planned!

Activities: Throughout the day, we'll have a kids game area (did I hear putt putt?), water activities (sprinkler and slip'n'slide), arts and crafts, flower bouquet making, farm scavenger hunts, tincture pours with Red Moon Herbs, bubbles with Bounty & Soul, farm tours, and more!

Live music: We'll have Old Time Jam live music from 3-5 and Flying Cloud Band from 6-8!

Food: Fern Leaf food truck will be on-site all day with some delicious meal options. We'll also be selling ice cream from Hilltop Ice Cream Shop for a sweet treat!

Refreshments: Come try a brew from Whistle Hop Brewing Company or a hard cider from Barn Door Ciderworks! We'll also have kombucha and soda for purchase!

Raffle: A chance to win items from East Fork Pottery, Highland Brewing Company and more!

Local businesses: We're showcasing a variety of different local organizations in Fairview, come check out their booths and learn about their impact to our community!

We can't wait to see you there!

Your neighborhood happy place

Mostly this is where we live, recharge, & raise our two little boys...but we also share the abundance of blooms and seedlings and goodies that we have at our casual roadside stand.

We love to grow things...actually we really can’t help ourselves. So we round up some recyclables, pot up some plant babies, and put out the sandwich board to share our bounty with our neighbors. Come by (when the sign is out), you may or may not see us here! :)

Originally from opposite ends of the east coast we wound our way from Rhode Island where we met in 2005 to Black Mountain (by way of Wisconsin, South Carolina, Maine, and Asheville) in pursuit of a mixture of friends, and nature, and radical acts of growing wild beauty.

When we first put out our little signs to offer flower bouquets in 2019 we started meeting so many neighbors, bringing depth and connection in our new(ish) community. We’re excited to continue meeting you and/or....even if we don’t cross paths at the stand, to continue to share the colors, blossoms, and humor of Little Farm with you.
