This is your sign to do the honeymoon session! These two lovers got married on a Saturday, flew to Jackson, and did their honeymoon session the Tuesday after. It was so much fun getting to run around Jackson Hole with these newlyweds!

2. Check Accessibility: Make sure the location is accessible for you and any guests that may have mobility issues. Consider how easy it is to reach, especially if hiking is involved.
3. Think About Privacy: For an intimate ceremony, look for secluded spots that offer privacy and tranquility. Grand Teton National Park offers certain dispersed ceremony sites that are a little more private if you have less than 12 people.
4. Research Weather: Understand the typical weather patterns of your chosen area and plan accordingly.
5. Get the Right Permits: Many locations require permits for ceremonies. Research and secure these well in advance.

Blake and Macy had the stormiest day that created the most gorgeous lighting for their engagement session! It rained until they pulled up, cleared for their session, and started raining again when we got into our cars to leave. It’s the little weather wins that matter 😅

When would studio bridals be a good idea?

- When there’s weather concerns. Studios offer a controlled environment meaning you don’t have to worry about winter temps or harsh weather!
- When you don’t want to get your dress dirty. Taking bridals before your wedding day means your dress can get super dirty. Studios offer protection from mud, water, dirt, and grass stains.
- When you’d like more privacy. If you don’t want there being a possibility of anyone seeing you, or if you’re shy and want it to be just the two of you, studios offer a great option.
- When you’d like multiple backdrops. Most studios offer different backdrop options, furniture setups, and props to use. This can allow for different looks and styles.

Ultimately, take into consideration your personal preferences, the style and vision you’d like for your bridal portraits. 🫶🏼

Sit down with your family and explain why you and your partner have chosen to elope (more intimate & personal experience, cost, THE VIEWS 😂) * Emphasize the importance of your relationship! The most important part of any wedding/elopement day is the love & commitment to each other. Explain that eloping allows you to truly focus on that without all of the distractions and pressures that can come along with a traditional day* Share your excitement and vision! Talk about the specific location you’ve chosen and why it holds special meaning to you and your partner. Don’t be afraid to share your excitement about it either! * Offer alternatives to involve family & friends! If your family is disappointed that everyone will not be able to be present for your wedding, suggest other ways to involve them in the celebration. You could have an elopement party afterwards, or plan a special gathering to celebrate. * Be understanding & patient! It’s totally natural for family to have mixed feelings about a non-traditional route, so be patient and understanding if they need time to process.
