✨ UPDATE TIME! 😊 We apologize for the lack of posts recently... Our first two weddings of 2023 were simply spectacular and we can't wait to finish working on the photos/video to showcase! After that first weekend, we (sort of) took a week off to crash because we have been running 100 mph for months 🤯 Last week, we had a death in the family so had to travel out of state for a funeral. Now, after the 4th of July celebrations, we're starting to gear back up for our next wedding here soon!
1) We still have not had even a moment to schedule a general open house because there's so much going on all the time, but we are always giving individual tours upon request! All you have to do is contact us and we can meet you there on a day the venue is available. ☎️⚡
2) Just to recommunicate the tables and chairs situation for everyone who has the add-on: Originally, we were looking at circular tables, but we ended up getting rectangular tables for budgetary reasons (we are an AFFORDABLE venue, after all) 🤗 We have twelve 6-ft rectangular tables and five 8-ft rectangular tables. All 36-inches deep. Plus a couple of extra to use for food and gifts at no extra charge. Each table seats about 8-10 people. Chairs are the quality white aluminum and white plastic backing versions.
3) If you have purchased the Taco Catering add-on, we are still working on a time to get samples out to everyone. Rest assured, the food is freshly cooked by our authentic Latina partners with decades of experience, so you know it's gonna be good!

APPRECIATION POST! 🙏 This is Gary moving our propane tank that has previously been an eyesore in the middle of our reception area. Gary actually happens to own the property next door to Lumen Woods.
The local gas company who was supposed to move this weeks ago is extremely backed up and so Gary kindly offered to use his own tractor and move it for us!
We'll tell you why this is a bigger deal than you think... When you go for something like opening a wedding venue on your property, you still have to consider and deal with factors that might affect neighbors: traffic, sound, and general activity in an area that doesn't usually have a lot.
People often move out into the country because they want peace and quiet, so as you can rightfully assume, if you are opening a wedding venue - even on rural acreage - neighbors get nervous. Considering all of this, we want to remain respectful and considerate of neighbors!
So, when having or attending a wedding here at Lumen Woods, remember Gary and others like him when you are on or near the property. While we want you to have the time of your life, let's also be courteous to other people around and not cause an unreasonable disturbance outside of the designated event area! (Including traveling on the roads to the venue) 💜🤍🩷
