On our farm we believe that we need to grow with nature, and not against it. But how do we manage the bad bugs that could ultimately kill my business. Literally 🫠

Well to start, We do not use pesticides, because even though they might help get rid of bad bugs, they also kill the good ones too. And that’s not a good vibe.
So we have a hands on approach to managing pests. We release beneficial insects to combat aphids and other naughty bugs, and we plant a huge diversity of flora to help eliminate concentrated areas for these bad bugs to collect. But one way we get a lot done in a shorter amount of time is manual removal. Which means we sometimes have to vacuum up the bad bugs. Squash bugs being the main culprit here. 😂 Also, my chancla 🩴 wasn’t going to work here.

But seriously, We are proud to offer products and flowers we love and care for, and are healthy for us and the environment. It’s important because nature deserves to be treated better, which means I do have to work a bit harder. And that’s ok.
