If you’re looking for something fun to do on a night, then look no further than the Wave Lounge! We have local cover band Almost Dangerous returning to the lounge playing everything from country to rock to funk. Their only mission when they perform is to ensure everyone feels good and has a fantastic time. They will be rocking well after the Jay Mohr show gets out in the Sapphire Palace.

Their sound has been shaped by their combined love of 80s pop, classic rock, and 90s grunge; they will be bringing a mixture of original tunes and covers that everyone can sing and dance along to.

We had a full week to close out the month of January in the Wave Lounge; time to look ahead and see what we have in store for you for the first week of February.

Tonight we have Treat Yourself Entertainment coming back to host their weekly karaoke party. Get a group together to come out and sing some of your favorite songs. we have our monthly open blues jam hosted by The Mojo Rockers. The first one we held last month was a big hit! Whether you feel like sitting in for a few tunes or just want to listen to some local musicians do their thing, it's bound to be a good time. If you bring an instrument, be sure to have the case checked by the front entrance of the casino before heading to the Wave.

we have DJ Statik spinning for his monthly throwback hip-hop and R&B show. we have the Wave Lounge debut of "sultry" alternative rock band The Melange. They're local and will bring a collection of originals and classic covers. Closing out the week on we have the return of cover band Almost Dangerous; they'll be in the Wave to entertain you after the Jay Mohr performance in the Sapphire Palace.

NightHawk is a Humboldt County rock band dedicated to playing music that keeps you out on the dance floor. From Classic Rock, Country, R&B, and Blues – NightHawk plays it all. They will be in the Wave Lounge this night at 8pm!

Mark you calendars for January 31st! We are bringing a one-of-a-kind event to Blue Lake Casino as the acclaimed Grammy ballot nominee, Ron Reeser, headlines the first ever Death2Disko Party. Arcane Artists and Blue Lake Casino are partnering to give you a free show in the Wave Lounge with these phenomenal artists. Deconstruct those disco outfits and show up ready to watch the disco balls fall! We have a full night of support as we bring a touch of bass house with Pretzz, some disco and hard house style with Gmniite, and a special surprise for you before the headliner! The Vagabond Dancers will be taking the stage as we let the disco balls crumble. We will have Nathan Has Lasers offering his support to add to the aesthetic of the evening.

This event will run 9pm-1am and is 21+

This Thursday, we have a Pints for Non-Profits event! This month we will be raising money for local organization Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods! We will track draft beer sales for the week and donate $1 from each sale to our non-profit. Happy Hour will extend to 9pm! Souvenir Powers Creek glasses will be available for purchase at their normal price point. We will have non-profit representatives present from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to talk to patrons about their work; we will also have DJ L Boogie spinning classic R&B and hip-hop for the duration of the event.

On the last Wednesday of each month (for the first quarter of 2025) we will have a comedy night hosted by Peter Nelson of Humboldt Comedy. Each month there will be a different selection of local comedians with the occasional out-of-town headliner. It’s always a good time for some solid belly laughs, so come on down to the Wave Lounge at 7pm to catch the show. This is a 21+ performance and there is no cover charge.

This month we will have local comedian Leah Tamara headlining; Jamon Jamison and Nick Castagnola will be featured with James Richards opening up the show.

After a fun weekend with our surf rock Local Showcase and The Undercovers rocking their 70s Prom in the Sapphire, let's see what's planned for the final week of January, because it's a BUSY one!

Tonight we have our weekly karaoke session with Treat Yourself Entertainment; come on out at 9pm with some friends and sing some of your favorite songs. night we have the final trivia night of the month with Reel Genius Trivia. Get a group of friends together and come test your collective knowledge against other teams for a chance to win some fun prizes!

night we will be bringing back our monthly Comedy Night! Peter Nelson of Humboldt Comedy will be hosting the show that features four local comedians. Lets show some love for our strong comedy scene here on the North Coast. We will also have shows on the final Wednesday of February and March.
night we have our first Pints for Non-Profits event of 2025! Our Happy Hour will be extended until 9pm to accommodate the event; DJ L Boogie will be spinning some tunes and we are collecting money for the Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods. $1 off all draft beers for the week are going towards the final donation :)

night we have our first party hosted by Arcane Artists - Death2Disko! This is a special free event; Arcane Artists and the Vagabond Dancers were able to bring the immense talent of Ron Reeser, Gmniite, and Pretzz! They will be playing their extensive catalogue of classic rock to appease a wide range of listener.

Tomorrow is our first Local Showcase of 2025! We will be following a theme of Surf Rock featuring local bands Heaven's Taint and The Starhoppers! HT have more of a rockabilly sound while The Starhoppers will bring a more traditional surf rock vibe reminiscent of Dick Dale. Music starts at 7:45pm and goes until just after midnight; this is a fun local showcase that you will NOT want to miss.
