Mark you calendars for January 31st! We are bringing a one-of-a-kind event to Blue Lake Casino as the acclaimed Grammy ballot nominee, Ron Reeser, headlines the first ever Death2 Disco. It’s that time of year, our annual give-back show will be one for the books as we partner with Blue Lake Casino to bring a free show to the people of Humboldt County! Deconstruct those disco outfits and show up ready to watch the disco balls fall! We have a full night of support as we bring a touch of bass house with Pretzz, some disco and hard house style with Gminite, and a special surprise for you before the headliner! The Vagabond Dancers will be taking the stage as we let the disco balls crumble. On the last Wednesday of each month, we will have a comedy night hosted by Peter Nelson of Humboldt Comedy. Each month there will be a different selection of local comedians with the occasional out-of-town headliner. It’s always a good time for some solid belly laughs, some come on down to the Wave Lounge at 7pm to catch the show. This is a 21+ performance and there is no cover charge.

This month we will have local comedian Leah Tamara headlining; Jamon Jamison and Nick Castagnola will be featured with James Richards opening up the show.

Just a couple more weeks until the fantastic Dark Star Orchestra graces the Sapphire Palace with their interpretations of the Grateful Dead songbook. 📣This is the first Pints for Non-Profits event of 2025! This month we will be raising money for local organization Boys & Girls Club of the Redwoods! We will track draft beer 🍺 sales for the week and donate $1 from each sale to our non-profit. Happy Hour will extend to 9pm! Souvenir Powers Creek glasses will be available for purchase at their normal price point🍻. We will have non-profit representatives present from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to talk to patrons about their work; we will also have DJ L Boogie 🎶 spinning classic R&B and hip-hop for the duration of the event.

We had a wonderful time hosting Greensky Bluegrass and our fantastic Wave performers last week; let's see what we have in store for you this week.

Our weekly karaoke session is tonight with Treat Yourself Entertainment at 9pm! Get some friends, grab a Powers Creek brew or tasty cocktail, and sing the night away! night we have Contessa coming back to teach some more line dancing moves to you all. night we have the return of Wave favorite DJ Pachanguero! He will be spinning the best Latin music to dance to late into the evening.

night we have something special for you in the Wave Lounge! We have our first local showcase of 2025 with a surf rock theme. Starting the night off at 7:45pm we have The Starhoppers bringing some authentic surf rock; the second band HT will be playing their version of rockabilly surf punk at 10:15pm! It's bound to be a fun night with these two fantastic local groups.

Legendary blues musician Buddy Reed has been playing all over the country for decades. He’s had the pleasure of touring with artists such as Big Mama Thornton and Little Richard! He’s also played with Blues greats like Muddy Waters, Bo Diddly, Willie Dixon, and Jimmy Reed – to name a few. His music is gritty and authentic; after living in Humboldt for years, he’ll be taking the Rip It Ups on the road! This will be the kick-off performance for their winter tour; come see what they’re all about!

The north coast tends to celebrate the music of the Grateful Dead with a passion, none do it quite like the Magnificent Sanctuary Band. With a roster of seasoned local musicians, MSB brings the Jerry Garcia songbook to life with every performance. They perform a rotating setlist of Jerry Garcia Band as well as interpretations of Legion of Mary. This band keeps you on your toes and can take you deep into the musical ethers at a moment’s notice. They will be in the Wave this as an after-party for Greensky Bluegrass.

They've been playing full venues in Arcata recently, come on out and see their interpretations of the Jerry Garcia catalogue. night we have local Rock & Roll band Triple Junction returning to the Wave Lounge. Closing out the week on night we have Buddy Reed & The Rip It Ups with their tour kick-off show! It's always a good night to go see a local blues legend do what he does best.
