It was an emotional ceremony when Sarah Kenny handed her crown 👑 to the new Joker Of The Month last weekend. Congratulations to Mark Christopher became our June’s Boca Raton’s Funniest! 🎉 We also have 3 runner ups with tie votes, instead of 2, to be invited back to our future paid showcase.

It’s time of the the month again!! We can’t wait to see who will be Boca Raton’s Funniest. Sarah Kenny our May’s Funniest, will be there to perform and crown the new one!

Please email [email protected] to sign up for our June contest!

The rule is simple, you’ll perform a 5 minute set and the audience will vote for winner. Audiences will also be drawn for an Eat District’s gift certificate. Audience please visit www.bocacomedy.com for your tickets, just pay what you can.

Winner will receive $50 prize and gift certificate from and be announced on a billboard for one month. Top three will be invited to perform in our future paid shows as well as be qualified to compete for the Funniest of the Year title.

Eat District has changed their closing hour to 7pm, so while we’re looking for a new venue to have our comedy shows, our mic a will continue to be here at from 5:30-7:00pm on first and third Saturday of the month until futher notice. When you email to sign up, please also indicate how many minutes you’d like to perform (3,5,7 or 7)

Ticket is donation of any amount that will help us raise fund for Comedy Saves Lives Scholarship to help people with mental health issues and financial needs improve their lives by introducing them to the art of stand-up comedy with a professional comedy writing class. They’ll learn how to transfom their stories in to jokes that they can share with others as a form of therapy and spread laughter among the community.

We’re trying out a new format: at the beginning of comedy open mic tomorrow Saturday, comedians can bring your sets to get feedback/punch up from us and audience. Please email one page or less of your set ahead of time so we can print it out and share with other participants. It’s easier for everyone to learn writing skills together that way.

We’re excited to announce that we’re going to have a monthly comedy contest starting on April 9. Please pre-registered by emailing [email protected] by the end Thursday (April 7), it’s free.

Each set will be limited to a maximum of 5 minutes. Audience will vote for winners.

The first place winner will receive $50, other gifts from sponsors, and be announced on a billboard.

Top 3 winners will have a spot in our monthly showcase.

Top 3 winners will qualify to compete for Boca Raton’s Funniest Of The Year 2022 title.

Yummy healthy Asian food await for you at the Eat District, just need some laughs and you’ll have a great Saturday dinner! The manager is so nice to let me know it’s actually more crowded at lunch time. Would you like an open mic show during that time instead of the current time 6:30 pm?
