When talent meets inspiration, the results are extraordinary. Developing the exceptional instrumentalist’s performance ability is our primary goal.

Our intimate size enables us to maintain full-tuition scholarship support and extensive performance opportunities for all students. In addition to large and small ensembles, students participate in repertoire classes, junior and senior recitals, mock auditions, juries, master classes, weekly performance forums and an annual concerto competition. Our eminent faculty are dedicated to making Lynn one of the finest training programs for performers in the world.

Many thanks to the members of the who visited us this morning! Our woodwind students were thrilled to take part in masterclasses with Principal Clarinetist Stephen Williams and English Hornist Scott Hostetler, who also taught a reed-making class. In addition, Principal Percussionist Cynthia Yeh and Bass Trombonist Charlie Vernon shared their knowledge and insight with our percussion and low brass students. We are incredibly grateful for their time and expertise!

We invite you to join Dr. Roberta Rust's piano students for their studio recital on Sunday, January 12, at 3:00 PM, at the Wold Performing Arts Center. The program will feature a selection of celebrated works from the piano repertoire, highlighting a diverse range of pieces from Ludwig van Beethoven to Frédéric Chopin to Zhao Zhang. We look forward to an afternoon of exceptional performances.

As we welcome 2025, we are thrilled to announce a series of exciting events in the coming weeks. These include a studio recital showcasing the talented piano students of Roberta Rust, three masterclasses featuring distinguished musicians—Clarinetist Stephen Williamson and English Hornist Scott Hostetler of the Chicago Symphony; and Joshua Smith, principal flutist of the Cleveland Orchestra. Additionally, we are proud to present our first Philharmonia concert of the new year, featuring Andrés Cárdenes as our soloist in Bruch's Violin Concerto, among many other exceptional performances and activities.

Congratulations to this year’s Lyric Competition winners: Trio de BOP - Hoon Chang (oboe), Keegan Neely (bassoon), and Jenna Salliman (piano), and the Resolute Quartet - Miriam Smith (violin), Paola Nava (violin), Jeremy Jefferson (viola), and Peter Pao (cello). They will give their New York debut at the Kosciuszko Foundation on May 1st, 2025.

Every year, Lynn Conservatory collaborates with the Lyric Chamber Music Society for our highly anticipated chamber competition. The winning group is invited to a New York debut recital at the Kosciuszko Foundation. This year we are excited to have guest judges Irena Kofman, Alexander Cox, and Nadine Asin. Join us this Thursday to hear the finalists compete in Amarnick Goldstein Hall at 7pm.
