For more than 20 years they have been creating developing and implementing curriculum based programs in the performance and visual arts, as well as, presenting original performance pieces and special events entertainment for schools, community / social
organizations in the United States and abroad. they create develop and present original Theatre and Clown performances as well as arts-in-education
residencies in Circus
Arts, Clowns and Cultures, Trickster Myths and Legends, Creative Drama and Movement, Mask-making and Puppetry. Workshops
include the study of clown cultures throughout the world including the use of clowns in Native American, African and European
Religious events when teaching longer workshops. Students keep journals reflecting their studies, thoughts, drawings, and ideas. These workshops can be teamed with a writing workshop where students write limericks and jokes to create an original clown
comedy script to be performed. Some specific skills taught are:
- Clowning
- Gymnastic ribbon twirling
- Juggling
- Plate spinning
- Tumbling
- Feather balancing
Students of circus arts will develop many new skills through activities that are intended to challenge them in positive ways. These activities are designed to develop physical coordination, balance, self-image, observation and communication skills.
