Our Story
The City of Boiling Spring Lakes continues to grow with the number of families residing in the area, the Special Events Committee coordinates and hosts many seasonal events for all ages! To kick things off, the Spring Bike Run is held in March and this year raised money for the VFWβs Post Relief Fund, then only a few weeks later, the Eggstravaganza is held in April with an Easter Egg Hunt, the Easter bunny, and games and crafts at Spring Lake Park on Pine Road. Next up is the traditional Spring Fling at the Lakes, held in May, which provides entertainment, vendors, children's games, food and fun for the whole family. Everyone enjoys live music so bring your lawn chair to Spring Lake Park in June for the Battle of the Bands event and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon listening to local musicians, great family fun and as always, really good food! Through the months of August to December, the Committee hosts the Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament held at The Lakes Golf Course, the 9/11 Memorial Bike Run, Fall Festival & Haunted Hayride. To conclude our productive year, you will not want to miss the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade and Festival. Bring the entire family and join us for a cup of hot cocoa with a special visit from Santa! The kids will enjoy making crafts and decorating their own cookies!
Not only does the committee put on these awesome and fun events, any funds raised by the committee goes back into the community with donations to local agencies and non-profits. For more information about The Special Events Committee Please visit: www.cityofbsl.org
