Hi, I’m Caitria 👋🏼
(KAY-tree-uh, if you’re wondering - no hard feelings if you said it wrong in your head.)

It’s been a minute since I introduced myself here, and this snazzy new photo from Ostendo Photography gave me the perfect excuse!

I’m the planner and owner of Verdant Events, which I founded four years ago out of a love for events, planning, design, nature, and all the little details that make a wedding feel effortless. My background is in hospitality – I got my start over twelve years ago working in Colorado ski town hotels and resorts, and I’ve been in love with events ever since.

I offer full-service planning, coordination, and design with an eco-friendly approach. I enjoy working with down-to-earth couples who want a modern wedding that’s beautiful, true to them, and kind to the environment.

A few fun facts about me:
🌿 I’m a triplet (yes, three of us, and no, we don’t look alike)
🌿 I have a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo
🌿 I studied Crafts/Fibers in college and still love making art when I can
🌿 I love road trips, especially the outdoorsy/camping kind, and have visited 41 states so far!
🌿 I’ve hiked eleven fourteeners (mountains over 14k feet in elevation) in Colorado
🌿 I bartended for nearly a decade and still enjoy mixing drinks
🌿 If your DJ plays I Love It by Icona Pop, I’ll join you on your dance floor
🌿 I’m a mom to a sweet one-year-old girl, Annika – with a baby boy on the way!

B+N’s table design was clean and minimal; yet warm, inviting, and intentional. Thoughtful details like textured napkin rings, soft candlelight, and vintage glassware added just enough depth without overwhelming the table. The florals featured a mix of bold and delicate blooms and greenery, keeping the look organic and effortlessly stylish.

When this thoughtful couple reached out, they didn’t have a venue or date yet, but they did have a vision — a lush garden party with a modern vibe and sustainable touches.

“Caitria is an absolute gem…I could keep on going about all the things she did for us. Our venue had very specific vendor insurance requirements and she worked behind the scenes to take care of all that paperwork without us ever hearing about it. On the day-of, she helped calm the nerves before the walk down the aisle. She bustled the dress. She made sure that the photographer had the shot list beforehand. I could keep going on and on and on. And this is just the stuff I know. I am sure there is so much she did that I don’t even know about!”

Berina and Hayden’s wedding was pure joy to be a part of! They tied the knot at the stunning Willow Creek, surrounded by the warmth and love of family and friends who traveled from near and far to celebrate. Their vibrant garden wedding was filled with unique, personal touches, including Berina’s amazing colorful DIY flowers, her floral-embellished cape, a Romanian dance tune for their ceremony exit, and an incredible choreographed first dance! Happy Birthday to us! Verdant Events turns three today 🍰

My name is Caitria and I started Verdant Events three years ago out of a love for events, nature, and the details. My background is a Bachelor in Fine Arts and over a decade working events in the hospitality industry.

I named my business “Verdant” because it means green, and I have a passion for creating beautiful experiences that are kind to the environment. I enjoy helping couples find practical, meaningful, and budget-friendly ways to incorporate sustainability into their weddings.

I may be a little quieter than usual on social media right now - I’ve been busy gearing up for the 2024 wedding season, and spending cherished moments with my two-month-old daughter. However I love being busy because I LOVE what I do. I’m so grateful that I get to call this is my job, so thankful for the support from the wonderful people in this industry, and SO excited for the year ahead 🤍
